Good point by ShinraiA way to access the CC in game. Like the mirror in DA:I. Just have it be on the tempest like how there was the "facial reconstruction" equipment on the Normandy in ME2 that you could use to repair your face that one time.

Milky Way mementos, in one form or another. Sure, objects and imaginings from the OT but also referential. Remembering what those faraway places represented for players. The ground from which the initiative is sprung.

This may be irrelevant by the time the game comes out, but ideally necessary character and plot developments in the game itself, and not delegated to a book or comic, like Liara's character development in Redemption but lacking in the games themselves, Kai Leng being established as a threat to be taken seriously in Retribution (and to an extent Foundation) but a complete failure of a character in ME3.
I've mentioned this before, basiccally, the necessary stuff that you need for character's to develop (like Liara) please be in the games.
I don't want a brief passing explanation for AI's premise and the no guns thing in the beginning of the game before the action starts, for then all the other necessary info to be explained in Nexus Uprising, it should be in the game as well, IMO.

Renegade interrupts. A lot of them. ME3 was lacking in that department Or just proper use of interrupts. ME2 has a couple of them where Shepard looks and the camera pans at something to indicate what's going to happen or he'll hold his hand as if ready to draw his gun. In ME3 you interrupt to hug or shake hands. It's really bad most of the time.

Face codes for the character creator, and an auto-save just before entering the CC so I don't have to play through that first five minutes of game again if I want to go back and fix something. And an in-game character creator we can visit later to make changes.
Resource gathering that's not too grind-y. If I deploy one of those mineral probe thingies or scan an area filled with some sort of useful flora, let me get a whole bunch of that resource at once. It sort of looks like that might be how it works from the trailers, but I hope it's true.
Otherwise I'm just hoping for general stuff like good sidequests, character development, enjoyable romances, etc.
As for already confirmed things I'd love changed:
Pause to aim. I don't like super fast paced combat and I'm not that great at shooters. I don't always use it but it's nice to have as an option.
More than three power slots. I know they incorporated ways for that not to be so limiting, and we don't know what options we might get for hotkeys yet, but, three isn't enough. Maybe five of them instead? That would be a better number - we'd still have to choose strategically but we'd have a bit more freedom.
Optional full helmets and reasonable armor for everyone during combat. I hate breather masks. And casual outfits should be limited to 'safe' areas. (No confirmation on squadmate armor yet, but we know at least some characters get breather masks only).

Find a way to make non-cinematic conversations (since BioWare really wants this) without making it feel lifeless. They could put a lot of work into it and make a system like the Cinematic driving in GTA that has existed for the longest time so the camera switches automatically depending on certain things factoring into the algorithm and the ability to switch between this camera and free camera via toggle options like pressing Y during conversations for example.

A mature theme like Witcher 3. I dont mean nudity, but maturity in terms of characters, setting, themes, and certain struggles. DAI was too.....clean and too afraid to offend anyone. Yeaah... they do need to put in some more tension. I don't think there needs to be any LGBTQ oppression or bullying in-universe if BioWare decides that's not how their fictional world is and they want to be inclusive to the player identifying with their character, allowing them to be whatever they want, but DA:I set a bad precedent in terms of drama. There was a complete lack of tension or suspense in the narrative and I think it's because the Citadel DLC was so succesful they felt they just needed more like that where everything is lighthearted and pleasant. Same with Andromeda. A few dangerous signs has been shown in how they say it's more lighthearted than usual for Mass Effect and I fear it might be lighthearted because Citadel DLC was popular again. It's the typical corporate thinking: "Go where the demand is = profit". I have semi-confidence they're somehow defying these expectations though. But then again, I don't think BioWare would allow another ME2 Jack into their narrative and they won't make fun of a transexual again (granted I always found that was kind of childish humor though). They can't make Jack because someone with a mental disorder will persecute them and they'll feel they need to be more responsible and not dare to offend that audience. Anyone throwing criticism at BioWare makes them think "oh no, they didn't like that, we can never do something like that again." But they're bringing back the Mako. If elevators return it's a sign they're ready to offend us again.

"More alien aliens" is a sentiment I've seen a lot lately and it boggles my mind honestly. Mass Effect is definitely more of a real sci-fi than something like Star Wars but right from ME1 they decided a certain pulpy style where the most prominent species are all humanoids and pretty human when it comes down to it so that we can have them as characters we care about. I just feel it's taking the series a tad too seriously if we start having four-legged spider-companions or faceless blubs. Everyone can understand each other unless the plot dictates otherwise like the Protheans and a slight handwave via Bring Down The Sky about how everyone uses "translators". I feel like going with humanoid aliens is just part of the Mass Effect identity. I'm all for " more alien aliens" but could those aliens really be that advanced? Take the Elcor or Hanar for example: Elcor use their hands to balance them, so in order to use guns, they equip shoulder-mounted machine guns with auto-targeting VIs installed. It might be cool for weirder looking species, but they couldn't do as much as a bipedal type species. I will be happy, so long as we get a few less human looking ones, almost like the Krogan or Turians. That would feel " alien" enough for me, I think. That said, I am in love with the Asari, even though they look the most human. What can I say? I am a hypocrite! Remember, the Asari only look human because we, as humans, are observing them. The Bachelor party in ME2 alludes to that Asari look different based on who's looking at them: more Turian for Turians, Salarian for Salarians, etc.

That said, I am in love with the Asari, even though they look the most human. What can I say? I am a hypocrite! I would say that the belief of "non-humoind = primitive if sentient at all" is a bit close-minded for a science fiction setting considering that we have numerous examples here on Earth of non-humnaoid animals displaying high levels of organized thought, engineering, problem solving and in some cases, simple tool use. A control group of one is in no way a foundation to base something as scientific fact after all. For all we know, there could be environments out there wherein a humanoid form would actually be the worse possible evolutionary path towards advanced intelligence, and isn't that the whole point of science fiction, to ask "What if?" Now, obviously there are animation rigs and development time to consider, but I personally don't buy the whole developer notion of Human-like being some golden standard by which to measure the rest of the universe against. As for more 'alien' aliens in general, while I personally would love to ditch half of our romance options for a fully realized Rachni or Hanar squad-mate, I've never actually requested that BioWare forgo everything else and give us a title wherein the majority of the characters are distinctly not human (even if that would be more realistic in a setting wherein humanity was the newcomer in an interstellar society). For Andromeda, all I have been asking for is to go back to that level of nuance and diversity of human and non-human elements that Mass Effect 1 had. You can still have your human centric story, you can still have your humanoid aliens as bros and waifus, you can still have your romance scenes, but would it kill someone at BioWare to include some actual alien elements in their science fiction setting?

A pretty female companion with reasonable personality would be nice, don't even care if she's not a romance option, just someone to take along the adventures. We already have the ugliest asari in the universe with 'quirky' personality on the roster, would be great for someone to counterbalance that. None of the DA:I bollocks please. If Cora reveal is another Cassandra manjaw scarface send to the frontlines without helmet to demoralize enemies abomination, I am going to be very upset. Heh, most of my suggestions are the list of things I liked in a small eastern grinder, Blade and Soul. Not that there's anything wrong in B&S / TERA / Black Desert / BLESS Asian aesthetics. Those MMOs have good customization and heavy fanservice options, which can be viewed as a positive against a more prudish Western culture, but I do appreciate a more Western look in Western games. None of my suggestions concerned wardrobe choices or boob sliders. I am not sure how my quote got mixed up in that other quote? I was talking about saving presets, roll on double tap, and default key bindings.

> The ability to switch into character creation for a period of time after creating Ryder (like in Revelation Online - you create your character, save it, if you are unsatisfied: jump via character selection screen menu into CC without paying for dlc or with ingame currency for at least 3 days after direct creation) > A Blasto themed gun > A cult of andromedan natives who think the Vorcha are godlike creatures > at least 1 Volus as the head of some kind of mafia like merchandise imperium in Andromeda > Medigel How would anyone native to Andromeda know about the vorcha? I guess if any came along (and they do sneak on board like rats, though surviving the journey seems unlikely) and some Andromedan saw them, they might worship them but otherwise they'd be ignorant of any Milky Way species until they arrived. I agree with most of the rest though I think a Blasto gun unlikely unless we have 3D printers to create an overlay or paint job. Character creation after the fact is a plus on a limited scale. Like in Fallout 4 where you can get new haircuts. Other than that, it's immersion breaking to alter physical characteristics unless the story shows us discover technology to do it.

Until we actually play the game it is hard to say. Probably more powers and abilities or a game mode/feature that minimises exploration like Mako fast travel.
