ikr nothing impressive in this trailer. BioWare must try to do better than this.

Opposite for me. Some of the previous stuff very much gave me qualms whereas this one has left me with mostly anticipation.

Sorry to hear that, though it shouldn't be a surprise that it isn't going to please everyone, nor wipe all negative sentiment. A statement like that is almost like saying people aren't allowed an opinion of the game that isn't hype. 

I'm genuinely interested as to what it is in the trailer you don't like?

Not in and of itself; but when it has to be accommodated into so many characters' storylines, it cheapens the writing; because in the back of your mind, you know that each dialogue earns or loses the player points for the taken-for-granted naughty scene.

That, and I'm generally irritated by the fact that fictional characters are masturbation fantasy material first, and characters second, in popular media.

I have to admit that a pretty good section of the trailer does seem pretty generic. Not that I think it means the game itself is going to be generic since I see trailers as them just trying to mass market the thing anyway, but it does feel generic.

It starts out not bad with a VO about some exploration stuff. We figure out they're stranded and worried about their ship presumably falling to pieces around them and are looking for a world to settle. It sets up the exploration bit that's been talked up about the game.

After that it just goes into overarching villain making threats, protagonist making a few wise cracks, and some one liners that are pretty much trailer bait to begin with. It becomes like most standard "epic" action flick trailers I've seen for other games or movies.

Which I suppose must work to sell copies of the thing, otherwise we'd have stopped using this formula.
