So, Trailer dropped out and there's some info about the Characters from those textboxes that popped up. Here they are
Alec Ryder Position: Pathfinder Station: Hyperion
Born on Earth in 2129, Alec Ryder says his love of new frontiers was fostered by a childhood in the Sierra Nevadas. According to his service record he joined the Alliance military and was eventually assigned to Jon Grissom's historic expedition through the Charon Relay. His experience made him a candidate for what would later be known as N7 training back on Earth. Alec continued military service, most notably on Shanxi in the First Contact War against the Turians Assigned as a military attaché to the Citadel in the late 2160s, Alec became interested in artifical intelligence as a means of human advancement.
Liam Kosta Position: Crisis Response Station: Hyperion
Liam Kosta is a human security and crisis response specialist with civilian tactical training. Liam entered university for engineering but left to train for law enforcement and later transitioned to the multi-species effort of Heavy Urban Search and Crisis Response. His multi-disciplinary skills set him apart and Liam was hand-picked by Alec Ryder to support the Pathfinder team.
Scott Ryder Position: Recruit Station: Hyperion
Born on the Citadel space station in 2163. With informal training aided by Alec Ryder's N7 background, Scott joined the Systems Alliance military and was assigned to an outpost near Arcturus Station overseeing Relay 202. A primary route to Arcturus, this mass relay leads into contested space and has an unsavory reputation. Scott was needed to protect Arcturus, but also had "a front row seat to everyone else going off to fortune and glory"
Sara Ryder Position: Recruit Station: Hyperion
Born on the Citadel space station in 2163. With informal training aided by Alec Ryder's N7 bacground, Sara joined the Systems Alliance military which was continuing its search for Prothean technology after succesfully discoveries on Mars. Initially assigned to peacekeeping duties, Sara was approached to serve a support role for these Prothean researchers. She often describes the thrill of serving with scientists like Mateus Silva on the brink of the next great discovery.
Cora Harper Position: Operations Station: Hyperion
Lieutenant Cora Harper is a human biotic and formerly an officer in the Systems Alliance military. She was transfered via the Citadel Council's Valkyrie Program (a subset of their insterspecies military integration plan) and placed with the asari unit Talen's Daughters. Cora's huntress training and biotic capacity made her a candidate for Alec Ryder's second-in-command and if warranted, his successor as Pathfinder.
S.A.M Position: Implant AI Station: Hyperion
The first Pathfinder neural implants were created by Dr.Elen Ryder, a pioneer in human biotic implant design. While biotic implants bolster and focus electrical signals along the nervous system, Pathfinder implants go a step further by connecting to not only the nervous system, but circulation, endocrine funcion and exteroceptive senses. Synced with an artificial intellinge, the implants reveal their full potential. The implant is a two-way connection, giving full insight into the host's physical and mental state, while allowing it to generate and alter electrical signals along my host's neural pathways that the body processess as its own.
___________ There it is, hope you've enjoyed. Discuss below...

Awesome, thanks for writing this out. My eyes could make out most except for some bits. Guess I'm getting old . I wonder if Alec Ryder was around during the Battle of the Citadel. Even if he and the twins weren't, I bet they'll mention it since it sounds like it was their home base.

Thanks for posting that. Even with a large monitor and my nose pressed up the to the screen I was having a hard time making some of it out.
So Sara is a science geek. Scott...a dreamer of adventure while watching others going forth?
I can't wait to see why Cora did not get the Pathfinder spot. I've got all kinds of conspiracy theories on that. Like SAM prefers working with the family who invented him. That is if Elen is actually related. I'm thinking she's mom. Maybe she and Alec met while working on SAM.

So that is interesting. It actually seems like the character profiles they are setting up for the Ryders was pretty much how I was going to play them for a change. Bro seems more military focused, Sis seems more idealistic and curiosity focused. EXCEPT that the Bro Ryder has a chip on his shoulder, if the profile is anything to go by, wonder how that will play in the dialog options and characterizations of the bro?
Its also worth noting that I do really like how the twins are different because of their experiences. Hence why they are different characters in the games events. Can't wait.

Restricting us to one backstory for each sibling and only for that sibling is absolutely ridiculous.

Like the nice diplomatic boring type of next door. I know I'm just exaggerating, but I'm also really bitterly disappointed.

The best romance of all time for me, which of course was only available to women. I should really lower my expectations of Bioware. Otherwise I am constantly disappointed.

Thank you so much for posting this. Soooo, my Scott Ryder was an Alliance rifleman who stood around a space station all day watching everyone else go on big cool adventures, but does have a little combat experience fighting outlaws. And my Sara Ryder was an Alliance rifleman/peacekeeper who was personally selected to assist legendary scientist's in their search for Protean artifacts? But likely no combat experience. An inversion of what I would have liked for my characters but it's OK. Beats the heck out of Fallout 4 at least (Nate is a badass war hero, Nora is a boring lawyer). I'll just have to adjust my roleplay style. Love Tom Taylorson's voice acting though, beats (no offense) Mark Meet by a looonnng shot.

Wow, I'm confusing information. I thought devs said we can choose our background related to our training, although some things from our past differs from one twin to the other. So... the part of the background fixed is about our first asignment? Then why choose our training is important? We can be any class we want thanks to SAM. I'm confused

I am sincerely baffled by the fatalistic way some of the posters are treating the stories about the Ryder Twins' past lives. We must not forget that they are just that: stories about their past lives in the Milky Way. Even if it's obvious that their different experiences have helped to shape what they are now, these backgrounds snippets tell us only about what they did, and nearly nothing about who they are. For istance: they tell us that Scott Ryder was stationed (by orders beyond his control) on the Arcturus Station, while his sister Sara was stationed (always by orders beyond her control) on a more active duty, which ended up to put her close to the Prothean research groups. From these informations, how can we exactly say that Scott got a "boring" personality? Or that he is only interested in some sort of "wacky adventure in Space"? What if he is intellectually inclined, or at least curious? What if the same fact that his sister (and lets not forget their own father and mother) could witness closely and partake at such endeavours, while he was stuck in some important but boring job, represents one of the seeds of his apparent frustration about his life before the Initiative? I think this could be an important ingredient for interesting roleplay and interactions with your fellow sibling, not at all the sign of a "bland personality". Of course, this is pure speculation. But since I know that Bioware makes roleplay games, I'm quite sure we'll be able to play our Ryder as the "intellectual warrior" that only needed a chance to prove themselves, be them female or male.

Nice to have the actual ages of the Ryder siblings. Nine years younger than Shepard fits with the idea that they are much less experienced.

Doesn't mean he wouldn't find scientific discoveries interesting if he'd had that job instead. Sara enjoyed watching scientific discoveries take place. Doesn't mean she couldn't play diplomat if necessary, or want to go adventuring if she was stuck in some post watching people do just that. In fact, all of these qualities (diplomacy, an interest in science, a thirst for adventure) are necessary for a Pathfinder to have, so regardless of where each twin ended up, they're going to have both or they're not going to qualify for Pathfinder training. And the fact that we choose our training background could be interesting, especially if it means where we trained, rather than just what we trained in.

Firstly i'd say there's some instrinsic disappointment at losing the previous level of background choice. Then there's the whole worry about devs that they have different characters and now they have fixed backgrounds. So perhaps scott won't be able to make scientific interest dialogue choices whereas Sara will have them based on her time spent with those great scientists.

Wondering what the 'divine hand of fate' is that is going to elevate Ryder to leadership over the natural candidate Cora and just hope that it works well as a plot device. In the first cinematic trailer Alec Ryder is accompanied by a human female squadmate and a Krogan when they are attacked by the Khet. That event is probably going to be part of the backstory for Alec Ryder when the game starts. I wonder if the two squadmates in that trailer might be Cora and Drack (long before their appearance was nailed down), and if Scott or Sara end up being made Pathfinder because Cora is missing in action from that event. Assuming for a moment that she was one of the trio in that trailer, maybe the three get captured by the Khet.

Liking what i'm seeing of the characters. Cora looks fantastic. That trailer makes little sense since Hyperion and the whole team crashed on 'habitat 7' or whatever the world we crashed is. And Drack/krogans aren't part of the Pathfinder team initially. I think the original trailer isn't really indicative of the game's events at this point. Cora is also shown to be present in Peebee's recruitment quest, which should happen fairly early in the game.

Unless we have a Jenkins, can't see us not having a minimum of 2/3 of (Cora/Liam/Drack) from the get go for simple squad use, likely Cora & Liam.
