I went through that 2 years ago. *hug* I know how you feel. If you are in tune with things, you can sense what might be coming before it happens, and it can wreck your body. That's why I'm so good at predicting things. I just know in my gut. We're here for you! Thanks, it's good to have a place to share your feelings, however weird it may be to do that on a gaming forum. Actually, I think this kind of detachment may be helpful in a way? It's somehow more painful to talk about it to the people irl that know my cat, if that makes sense. I hope I can at least buy her time, and spare her any pain. Or it may still turn out all right. Yeah sometimes talking to people who can relate but are not attached to the sick loved one can be very therapeutic. Give it a chance and if it worsens, then put her to rest. It's what I had to do when the signs were truly there and bad. You'll know when it's time. |

Well that's it! Jaal is sitting out my next few missions. I messed up on Eos with the Kett base (playing on a harder level) and had to re-do it since the shields did not come down when triggered and I only noticed it when I had almost completed the base. Got it work after starting the base attack again. So far so good. Got one-shot killed by the orb, so I had to try again, so on my 3rd try, Jaal Avenger Striked my ass off the edge of the ledge (pushed me aside to attack the Kett I already saw coming at me), knocking my shields to nearly nothing, then a Kett shot me dead.  |

So it seems I am still being watched and given "chances" for my past behavior. Well then I'm going to say this now and after that ignore anything related to it. I thought Jaal should be bi, then he was made straight. Once official my mind saw it that way for 4 months, then he was made bi, and though it made sense, it was hard to adjust to after seeing him as straight for so long. Do I have issues with bi romances? No. I romance bi characters all the time, just never romanced one that suddenly became bi officially. That's new.
As for my past anger, it was toward the treatment of people and I said things in anger (waste time trying and find proof I am homophobic, but I'm not, so take the stick out of your ass and get over yourself and trying to find hidden meanings in my posts or twisting things won't work anymore), but right now I am going to say I don't owe you a damn thing nor do I want to seek any forgiveness or chances. You can lurk, stalk me, and harass me, but I owe you nothing and will say what I want from now on whether you like you or not, and if you reply to any of this, it will be ignored. Call me a pretender all you want, and for friends on both sides, I am not choosing a side, so stop trying to force it on me in msgs! I like Jaal as he is, nothing wrong with him being bi and that should not stop anyone from enjoying him!
Jaal will always be canon for my Sara, but that doesn't make him canon for Sara in general.

Chapter 7 of Heart of the Forge and on AO3! Akksul angst is to be consumed to your heart's literal content.   So beautiful. Did the Moshae see Akksul caress Ryder?  Completely off-topic discussion of animal illness below. Well damn it, my cat has a tumor. She's in surgery right now, and I'm supposed to pick her up in a couple hours. The vet wasn't very optimistic and said that about 90% of tumors in cats turn out to be malignant. She's not even a very old cat. I'm in a bit of a shocked daze now, but it's funny, I've had a bout of anxious depression for the last fortnight or so that I felt came out of nowhere, but now it feels like I've been anticipating this somehow, despite having no reason to. I've noticed a little bump on her belly only a few days ago. Anyway, sorry, I'm just stressed rn and had to share somewhere.  I'm sorry about your kitty but she is very lucky to have you to care for her and love her. It's never easy when you might lose a beloved pet but there are a lot of people here for you, if you need us. Well that's it! Jaal is sitting out my next few missions. OKAY SO I FINISHED THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME ANDit was really good??? I knew Jaal was going to be an absolute SWEETHEART and I wasn't disappointed! Oh my god his whole romance was absolutely amazing and I just ;__;  TIME TO REPLAY AAHAHHAHHHAHAHAHAHA. Also, I romanced him with a bro!Ryder, drew a reference sheet of him and I'm posting it here because I also added Jaal to it. ONE DAY I WILL LEARN TO DRAW JAAL WITHOUT REFERENCE I SWEAR  Pic is in the spoiler tag and I kinda want to know, if/when I inevitably end up drawing SMUT between these two, do you guys want me to post that here? XD

I'm not sure what I liked the most first, but what really got to me was the end of Jaal's LM when he goes through that whole internal struggle and then ends up just broken. The letter (once it was fixed and actually sent, hahaha) just was the last drop I could take before full obsession hit in. I have such plans for him... |

Not only did I want to give the poor broken guy a hug at the end of the mission, but his email just made me smile so much! I know logically killing him would make sense to some players, but if you don't count Jaal's warnings and just listen to the Moshae and investigate Akksul's past, he is not a bad guy at all! I even found a datapad on Voled where you do the Fact or Fiction quest, and it's a message from him saying to protect Thaldyr. Along with the msgs between him and her in her home, and the fact he doesn't kill anyone unless there's no choice, I just can't kill him when everything points to keeping him alive. There's certainly a lot of story potential in his character. It just needs the perfect setting! He's not as popular as Evfra is, but so far I'm getting a lot of very happy starry-eyed feedback so he's winning hearts. I just wish I had the time and energy to write chapters more frequently, life is still pretty topsy-turvy. Speaking of Twitter, I finally caved and opened an account, so far I'm completely at a loss what to do with it, but hey. I'm looking for opportunities to make connections with people and I have no idea how to go about it because I really don't know what to say, sooooo yeah. I'm learning. Sort of. But it's OK, if I'm really curious about any particular person I can just go to their page and I do scroll down a bit for a while here and there. I did sync up my Tumblr to Twitter already so I suppose if anyone wants to keep track there my handle is Gwyvian (shockingly) - although what with the taglist and following/bookmark options on Tumblr and AO3 there are already numerous ways I'm already informing everyone of new chapters, hahaha. Oh boy... lol Yeah I usually just search out the person. My old Twitter had nearly 100 people, so it drove me crazy lol You never know! Might catch the eye of some MEA fans who never read your stuff and they'll all fall in love with the Angara too.  Sadly my love for Jaal is dying out for the moment. I wanted to focus on a romance just for my own personal playthrough, but I am so burned out from the speedruns, I can't do it. I am on a break from MEA until I can enjoy it again. I can HEAR their voices even as I type. I have too good a memory.  Latest thing I discovered (lost some pages back) is not flirting with Jaal on Aya and choosing the Emotional tone leads to a better convo. Sara pauses and says "I love... EVERYTHING about it" then Jaal talks about loving the breeze and it matches perfectly with Sara's favorite place on Earth convo during the waterfall scene, so if you are going for that soulmate-type romance run, that's a good option! Also I was trying to find the best song for Sara/Jaal for my playthrough I planned, and nothing beats the ending song "Under Stars" it fits so much with them and Ryder's family and what she goes through (plus the Angara always say "Stars!" lol). That song will always remind me of their romance. |

Well that's it! Jaal is sitting out my next few missions. I messed up on Eos with the Kett base (playing on a harder level) and had to re-do it since the shields did not come down when triggered and I only noticed it when I had almost completed the base. Got it work after starting the base attack again. So far so good. Got one-shot killed by the orb, so I had to try again, so on my 3rd try, Jaal Avenger Striked my ass off the edge of the ledge (pushed me aside to attack the Kett I already saw coming at me), knocking my shields to nearly nothing, then a Kett shot me dead. HAHAHAA! Looks like Jaals stuck in the "time out" corner!  Also the Eos base is a pile of dog turds... one slip up and you have to go through the ENTIRE damn thing again  |

Just a cat update for anyone interested, thank you for all the support guys! I got her back home yesterday and she was obviously very loopy from the anesthesia, still tried to crawl her way to the litterbox, poor thing. She's much better today and eating a lot. I'll be taking her back for shots tomorrow morning and two days after that. As far as the tumor prognosis goes, no one knows for sure. The vet removed what was there, it might come back, it might not. For now she's doing ok, so that's good. Maybe we'll get lucky. |

We share cover, he's always warning me if an enemy is behind me, or stabbing it before I can react and he's always the first to warn me of a grenade or sniper, shouting at me to stay down. |
