OT: Playing my first FemShep, and Adela Shepard was just made the first human spectre. I actually... teared up. To see a woman in such a role. Guess the SJWs are right... representation matters!

I remember smiling and shifting in my chair. Before the trailer the Angara were just these bulky masses somewhere on the side in Sara's gameplay video and I admit I wasn't really all that interested. But then Jaal showed his face and I was like *Oh my...this is...unexpected. I want to see more!" and since then I'm rather hyped for Andromeda.
I was looking forward to playing the game before that as well...but it seemed rather far away and there were things I didn't like that much about 3 so I didn't really think about it much. When it's done it's done and then I'm gonna play it. Eventually.

Now I wish March 23rd was already here so I can get first spoiler-free reviews before I buy the game myself.

And...damnit...I have to admit that I'm a sucker for good romances.
Not the main reason I love the ME Universe...but still...I won't complain

And I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer as well. Nothing beats playing with friends on skype/discord and semi-role playing the missions. When one of your friends just screams really loudly "BUGS!" and nearly dies because of them or another one telling me, that my turian sentinel is on a training mission with his turian ghost and saboteur because they want to promote me into their ranks and give me a real armor with hydraulic joints...

Sorry...I'm losing focus here...but the multiplayer experience was/is soo much fun and I'm looking forward to getting revived by my more capable friends once (or twice or how many it takes) more soon

You've been playing this game wrong all this time. How sad.

I always play as a guy then eventually try a woman. I tried FemShep MULTIPLE TIMES but I'd start talking to Kaidan and just... I'd miss him and Shep and the amazing arc of their relationship (specifically M!Shep, which is different from FemShep). But this time I've persevered and so far I'm loving it! And yes I will be romancing Liara

Oh to be sure. if there's one thing BW does right it's hire good voice actors! 

That's comforting to hear. This fandom needs moar Liara trash.

I won't be all that much closer since I'll probably waste near all my hours in the cc out of paranoia, since we can't change appearance in game.    Why is it that the Dragon Age team could wrap their head around the fact that people want this and yet the Mass Effect team refuses to.

I believe that would be the French pronunciation of that name (Alphinaud) I say that since I hail from a French speaking land, though I do not speak it myself

Well... if his name isn't spoken how it's pronounced (within reason) then it would make no sense to use those particular letters to "spell out" his alien name. At least I would hope not. 

It's not abnormal to take that approach. I go for the female option when it's available and maybe go for
the male choice after a few playthroughs depending on what permutations there may be to the story.
I only ever opted for manshep to romance Jack. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with him at all.

They wrapped their minds around it sure, but failed to deliver the goods. That dark black and green lighting still banjaxed my first few
attempts and forced me to restart the game when I saw she had turned into some five year old who got into their mothers make-up stash.
Maybe if they give the option to alter the background and lighting it'd make it easier to see how the characters features will look in certain lighting.

The way the devs talk about Jaal reminds me a lot of how the Dragon Age devs talked about Iron Bull pre DAI. There was lots of excitement over him and a ton of "ride the bull" jokes just like all the "banging" jokes about Jaal. I hope none of it is hinting that he's the fun, weird sex LI or, even worse, one of those LIs that aren't in it to get serious that they said we'd get in Andromeda.
