Yeah it kind of bugs me a bit. We are equally seen as freaks and fanatics, but there are some that just make it look that way, and the rest (like us) are not taken seriously. Shame really.

I feel like they'd leave the potential Kett squadmate for a DLC. I think we're going to have 6 squadmates. I mean, who else is left? We have all the major races, they would've said something at this point if there was a Quarian squadmate. Maybe an Andromeda race we haven't seen yet? Or a synthetic? But we already have Sam, so unless he finds a physical body for himself (maybe one of those Remnant synthetics) I don't see him being the 7th squadmate.

When they said there were more to come that we haven't seen yet, I think they were talking about crew members.

I'm okay with it, it got to the point where I wouldn't even read my dialogue options anymore so long as I was choosing the top right/bottom right options depending on who I was playing at that time

Archon will be the final squadmate, you will see

Ahaha can you imagine, he acts tough and talks big, but turns out to be a coward. You're about to strike the killing blow and then all of a sudden he's like "Wait! I think I've had a change of heart!"

Based on what info they've released for him so far, everything seems to point towards him being a squadmate. I can't see the devs talking him up so much and releasing a screenshot of him that showcased his equipment if he wasn't. Unless they're just doing it for our benefit because of how much of a liking we've taken to him...lord I hope not.

My fear would be if they cut him out of the game last minute

I can guarantee you those "Eww, they want to fuck an alien!" posters, are the same who make/download Skyrim mods, that make argonian females have huge tits. There's even a mod that makes horses have a vulva (no seriously, there's people who gave Skyrim horses a vag ). And WE are the weird ones. Even more ironic, I'm so sure that not a single one of them ever looked at a porno. Yeah, that shit's not fake at all

Guys, Jaal is a squadmate. There's no way they'd be egging us on when we clearly think he is if he wasn't and risk that backlash. The Funko pop, the in-battle screenshot, the unique and detailed design compared to other Angara, it's obvious. Let's not sink into pessimism land here.

About the Kett, there's no doubt they'll be more nuanced. When has Mass Effect ever introduced an entire race that were just pure baddies (not counting the Reapers)? Even the friggin robots didn't turn out as a pure bad guy army. Add that they'd just be straight up lying to our faces if they were just bad guys, and I think it's safe to say that they're telling the truth about the Kett. They're not 'showing' because that's for us to discover in game, like most things.

On that note, I totally want a Kett squadmate and will be pretty disappointed if we don't have one in some form. Even if it's *shudder* DLC.

First of all, this ^ The devs even themselves have confirmed that there is no real "Big Bad" in Andromeda like there were in the original trilogy with the Reapers. I'm personally glad. I love nuanced, complex antagonists as opposed to straight up Disney villain. Thankfully the OT doesn't have any of the latter, nearly all fit into the former category of nuanced and complex IMO.
