On a change of topic, I just had an interesting and mildly (to me) amusing thought. Has anyone seen Mars Needs Moms? It's not really a fantastic movie, but it's cute. There is this scene in the movie where a guy who grew up after having his mom abducted got a crush on a Martian girl and every time she was around or got near his entire face turned bright red. And when he did, her initial reaction was "ohmigosh, I didn't know humans could change color!" or something along those lines.

Could you imagine if Ryder blushed like that around Jaal and his reaction was something similar? XD

I'm happy that this one has just fans and not trolls trying to start stuff. I feel bad at Cora's fans.

I keep imagining Jaal stuff today. This one I think is inspired by a Tumblr post I read earlier in the week. Basically the post was about how they thought that with the Arks and colonization, that they were under the impression that relationships with other species would be discouraged for the sake of reproduction. But others remarked on how for some aliens (looking at you, Asari) relationships might actually be a little looser for the sake of reproduction and others might have sperm banks and artificial insemination type things for reproduction. So people wouldn't feel pressured to stay with their own kind (after all, you can't control who you fall in love with).

But, for some reason I'm kind of daydreaming about after colonization they have a point where every human female has to consider child birth before age could risk complications. So preferably in the mid 20s to early 30s range most likely.

Well, imagine a Ryder and Jaal at some high-tech sperm bank or something picking out... er... well... sperm for their new human baby. Because it's about time for femRyder to consider child birth.


ME3 made me think about Shepard and Garrus with adopted kids, now Andromeda has me thinking about Jaal being a dad to a human baby.

I think the devs just said that the other twin has a problem with their cryopod in the beginning so that's why the role of Pathfinder passes on to you. I think the rest was speculation, but it makes a lot of sense. I mean, why else doesn't your twin join your team later? We know they're both part of the Pathfinder team.

If they were actually permanently crippled though... That's very depressing. I think they would go for "serious injury with long term treatment" instead of "crippled until end of their life" what with this game being lighter and more optimistic (compared to the trilogy at least)

Here's one for you guys! Choices we make in the game can cause squad tensions. How would you go about involving Jaal in that? lol

I feel so bad now holy shit. I was pretty sure I'd play as Scott but now I'm 100% certain, thanks. I will not let my poor sweet little baby boy stay behind and watch his twin sister become a hero while he suffers. My heart can't take it - just, no.

I think if we ever choose to do stuff that threaten his people it could increase tension between Jaal and the squad especially Ryder. I think they confirmed 
but I think he could leave.

Tbh the impression I got from that news was that we could A) choose to be a racist piece of shit? or B ) pick sides between squadmates knowing it'll cause trouble. Because iirc it said that the way we interact and the dialogue options we pick could cause tension, not our decisions in missions etc. That's obviously a given, because of course different squadmates will have different opinions on how to handle a situation. 

Perhaps your crew may even question your loyalties. To your species, or to an alien you just met.
