Good morning. I feel better. Just wanted to tell you all how much I adore Jaal Ama Darav (Kierro) 's icon. Everytime I see his/her (why must most of the world use gendered pronouns? We Finns don't and it has worked for us for thousands of years), I get stuck to that look at Scott's eyes when he sees Jaal. That was the moment I knew there must be a GIANT M/M-romance going on. Must be. I can feel it. THAT'S WHAT LOVE AT THE FIRST SIGHT LOOKS LIKE. Yes, I'm a romantic sap.Huh, you are a Finn as well? Terve Gendered pronouns do bother me as well, no matter how many years I use English I'm still not used to them. I somewhat always mix them up when writing English and have to check them before posting, otherwise I'd be misgendering everyone all the time. I also feel like I'm being mean without having gender marker on, does make it bit hard to refer someone without. I'm girl though, I just feel bit silly having gender marker on forum, sorry if it has been confusing someone ^^; And I really like Jaal Ama Darav 's icon as well, best scene in the trailer and I don't have to watch trailer to be reminded of that again All fingers and toes crossed for m/m Jaal romance. Morjens Do you drop articles? I do it all the time. Then I proof read and be done with it and post, only to notice that most of the "a" and "an" and especially "the" are missing. And then I'm like ah fuck, who cares. I even manage to pass as American without trying, just by accident. There must be something wrong in that. And those pre-positions. No matter if it is English or Swedish, I just don't get them right. Though English is easier for me than Swedish, and I should know Swedish because my ex-husband spoke it daily for me for 7 years. I...rather don't use gender marker before I'm officially male. Then I will probably tattoo it in my forehead and punch everyone who calls me "Rouva" = Ma'am. When using English I dance around the gender pronouns with "they" and "one" but I still don't know how English speaking people survive it daily. I heard Spanish is even harder, because so many words bend in masculine or feminine. They did not dare to make Jaal straight. Not to mention it would be beyond stupid. When it is about aliens...they could have 6 genders. Why should they care what sex our Ryder is? Human is a human. I have hard time to believe that all the aliens out there would have a matching set of genitals with humans. Getting stuck with gender there would be beyond stupid...but that's what we got with Garrus and Thane. I'm still scarred about those two. Almost as badly as about Malavai Quinn and Vector in SWTOR.

Getting stuck with gender there would be beyond stupid...but that's what we got with Garrus and Thane. I'm still scarred about those two. Almost as badly as about Malavai Quinn and Vector in SWTOR. I don't really pay attention to articles, I probably just drop them all together most of the time and just sometimes remember to add them. I don't think I use the that often unless I really want to highlight something. Pre-positions are pretty hard, I probably get them wrong quite often, I do try to include them though since they seem quite important, more than articles lol. I wonder if Artemis and maybe other English teachers on forums are losing it over reading my texts XD Though it's not like anyone has mentioned it to me, I guess native speakers don't care about grammar that much when speaking online as well. Or maybe everyone is just being polite. I can't really speak any Swedish lol, even if I learned it 6-7 years since it's mandatory.. I haven't been using it outside of class room at all. It is easier as language as English for sure, but when you don't use language, you don't learn it properly. All aliens being straight.. but Asari who seem to be all pansexuals, doesn't make lot of sense yep. I'm hoping there is Jaal for j'all. I know, it's terrible pun.

I'm still trying to figure out where she gets the info lol I always assumed that Ryder was captured, brought to the leaders at gunpoint and he tried to explain the situation, saying that he's a human from another galaxy and he's a Pathfinder, and then tried to explain what that means and what the AI is about. Then Jaal comes in to meet him, and when he asks just who the hell Scott is, the woman tells him, and that would explain her weird tone. "He's a ' human' from another galaxy. A Pathfinder." She says those words as if they're foreign to her, and almost as if she disapproves or doesn't quite believe him. I'd say it's obvious she's quoting someone. And the way she says pathfinder, idk it almost sounds like she's mocking Scott. That still doesn't explain why they don't know what a human or a pathfinder is though, so I don't know. That was just how I imagined the scene would play out, obviously it's just speculation lol I don't think he's captured. He steps off the ship disarmed to prove he means no harm, and they cautiously lead him to where the other Angara are waiting at the top of the stairs.

Unrelated to Jaal but I'm cracking up at this Twitter exchange! It doesn't show up here but Tom approves and Aaryn has promised a DLC of this in summer 2018. Can't believe I missed this!

I'm still stubbornly using it in my everyday life when there's any doubt because people usually don't mind it. At least there's a one thing that is easier in Finnish.

That's probably more likely. Especially considering how he's on his own, without his squadmates. Yeah I'm pretty sure Vetra's concern about him going out there alone is connected to that scene. It's cut to look like he's facing The Archon, but I don't think the scenes match up with the words. Also, if the Angara are truly peaceful, they will probably considered his gesture a symbol of peace. Even the way they approach him is not aggressive. They are ready to shoot if provoked, but they seem more or less willing to let him walk without tying him up or pushing a gun into his back. Haha almost reminds me of when you lure a cat or monkey to you. They step closely to you, but keep enough distance, waiting to see what you do.

There is surprisingly many around for such tiny country (in population) I use them sometimes, but usually if I'm not sure about gender I use: s/he or she/he. I'm sure those aren't grammatically correct, but do the job.

Good morning my lovely Jaal fangirls and fanboys! A thought crossed my mind..... I really hope that Alec has banged a few aliens in his lifetime so that he won't be too disappointed in our Ryder. "Daddy, this is Jaal!" "Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Morning lovely, Obliviousmiss , an awesome Jaalicle cat! Hope your day is a fantastice one! Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all the awesome Jaalicle cats out there! Here's to hoping against hope that the devs drop some sort of information....I'm starving from lack of info!

Devs are currently showing part of the game to the press. Most likely we'll be the next ones to get a preview.

Just been catching up on my feed, bless you Fryda. I wondered this a lot too when ME1 came out. Unless it's explained in a way that it makes sense, reproduction and all that. I still remember this one comic or a turian lady having boobs and I was like "Nope nope nope nooope". I really had some real stuff to say too but I just had a several hour nap and it was not a good idea. Also hey I'm Finn too! Wooooooo!

Seems I stumbled into the UN HQ. What else do we have here? English, surely, American too, Canadian more than likely, think some mentioned they were German or had German ancestry. French? Spanish? Dutch? Other?
