With how popular he is, I have been wondering that too. Or maybe not a scene like with Cora, but something sort of intimate looking but not a full on makeout session. I know the teasing about his voice makes me think they'll add that to the trailer for sure! I'm still of the mind that we've actually heard Jaal already. I know the devs said we haven't, but there's the one trailer with the "I have a bad feeling" voice in it. Not sure why I'm so convinced it's him, but it does rate "amazing" on my scale of voices. I asked someone in the Twitter to ask the devs in case they forgot when that was going on but I don't think anyone ever did. It probably is. We analyzed that to death, but between the time he voiced that and the continuing development, I suspect his voice improved a lot. No one sounds quite the same in the early stuff.

Haha pretty sure it's 15 minutes! I'm more excited about the trailer with Sara. I am hoping we see or even hear Jaal in it! What if they go one step further and instead of showing a Liam romance thing like people are suggesting, they throw a curve ball and show something romancey/flirty with Jaal instead? I can safely say this thread would explode. Pfft forget the thread, the site would crash!

Man, I'm a sucker for voices. If it is Jaal and not another alien - like say a friendly Kett - and he's improved on THAT... I am doomed. Even more than I already am. OTL

Not precisely Jaal related but: Jaal's face on a Krogan body... yikes!

You know all this speculating is fun (and most likely none of it true), but I would love to actually know Jaal's real personality so we can properly discuss him as a squadmate and LI. You can only speculate for so long before there's nothing left to say.

I don't know why but when I first heard the "I have a bad feeling about this" line, I immediately thought it was Javik talking.... Just me? Okay then...

If it isn't Jaal, I'd almost bet my left kidney it is a Kett squaddie. I was hoping for a Kett companion ever since they released images of them. Even got into a discussion that it might be more likely than not since Bioware want us to be a least partially sympathetic of the Kett. Add to the fact that the devs tweeted out that the squad wasn't all revealed yet when they first showed off Jaal. I argued they meant Jaal at the time since he wasn't officially announced as a squadmate, but I wouldn't be upset if I was wrong. Either way, Jaal more than makes up for the lack of a Kett companion for me.

Nyasha is similar to Javik's voice actor, except Javik's was Nigerian (except when he voices Koth). Nyasha's is Zimbabwe and British and he speaks French.

On a lighter note, I don't think anyone posted these here, though I remember seeing the fanart (I love Fryda so much!):

If we do get one I imagine it'll be later in the game, through doing either the main plot, or the main Kett plot (since it's kinda sounding like these might be separate). I think it's a pretty safe bet that the Archon is in conflict with some of his own people (if I recall, it was even outright confirmed in an article but I'm not positive), so it might be someone who's fighting against him. That would be really cool, and I'm definitely intrigued by the Kett so a squaddie, or even an NPC who joins us for a bit, would be welcome.

At least to me. XD Glad I'm not the only one who's still convinced that's him. It just fits with what we know. I know a few people weren't huge fans, though, so hopefully it sounds better to them in final! On another note, if that's actually a Kett companion, I am NOT going to complain. Though I was hoping that if we got a Kett squaddie, it'd be a female one.

You can only speculate for so long before there's nothing left to say. This, exactly. I need something to tie me over for the next five weeks! Something other than half-formed fanfic of my Sara Ryder and attempting to replay the MET because somehow my computer deleted all my playthroughs. I'm hoping against hope for a VA video on Jaal.

I thought I saw that somewhere, thank you! I love nuanced antagonists, and I love that there seems to be more than one over-arching plot in the game. And that I have no idea what the actual main plot is (I assume something to do with the Initiative itself, or maybe our family). I actually hope they manage to keep it under wraps until launch. I'm kind of getting the impression it might be like DA2 in that there's no 'main mission' in the typical sense, but it's more a personal journey as we progress through a series of related events. Despite DA2 being my least favorite of the DA games (for reason I don't want to get into here to avoid going OT) I thought its story and its approach to the antagonists were the best of the series.

Yeah, it's almost like the Archon is on his own 'main mission' that runs parallel to our own. As we try to find a home for our people, he's trying to save/establish/strengthen his own? And our goals will run in conflict of each other? Definitely curious what the Angara's part is in all this. Why are they in (what is presumably) a Remnant Vault? Are they there because they want that tech for themselves? Or maybe that have no way to use it themselves, but something about us or our implant allows us to, so they hope to ally themselves with us? Or perhaps there's conflict within the Angara as well. If the Remnant tech is considered dangerous for whatever reason, perhaps some would use it while others are against it. I imagine if Jaal joins us he'd either be for its use, or he's there as a neutral observer to see what we do with it. Perhaps an Angaran leader still on the fence sends him along for that purpose. Ahhh so many questions!

Ahhh so many questions! I love this so much! I love how we are all doing our own thing and then paths keep crossing and it's not a race against an ancient evil like Corypheus. He's just trying to do what he thinks is best and so are we and we both see the other as a threat! Based on how we learn he is having trouble with some Kett, I think we will meet friendly ones too! This Remnant stuff reminds me of the Dwarves in DA and the Ayleids in Oblivion! I'm thinking everyone is after this tech, the Angara included. Again, maybe that's why Jaal joins us. We have a way to enter the vaults and extract the powers inside.

Ahhh so many questions! Wild speculation time: * The Angara are a tributary race to the Kett; they have a treaty or owe them allegiance somehow. Not all Angara are okay with this (like Jaal). * The Angara planet we visit isn't actually their homeworld, but a colony, and their homeworld is beyond the Helios cluster. I have basis for neither, just ideas.

Well, found an appropriate gif to explain what Jaal will do to his fanbase. What about us guys?.... Second thought Never mind. Your ball sack will blow out much the same way my friend, don't you worry about that none. It is never a good idea to encourage these kinds of thoughts where I am concerned.
