Golly I hope not. I'm clinging to the idea that the cut squadmate was supposed to be a biotic and they didn't change anyone to accommodate the loss, or they're not bothered about representing each class. Because it kinda only leaves Adept for Jaal 

Still nice to see Drack's bio. Can't wait to see his character kit.

So, like the warlock pet in WoW? That would be an amusing ability. 

They didn't. It was just a hope that he might be included as a squaddie. It would be nice if they showed a bit of each squadmate though, to see how their skills work - but I suspect that might be a different video. Perhaps after we get Jaal's bio (hoping for that next week as well) since then he'll be officially announced. Keep in mind that at this point Jaal still hasn't been confirmed as a squadmate. It's just something we've gleaned based on the fact that, through dev tweets, we've learned he's a romance option and has a loyalty mission, and based on his Pop figure.

Yes the constant comparison actually turns me off to Jaal a little bit since I'm, er, a non-Garrus fan Though that's not the fault of Garrus fans of course; they're free to swoon and speculate away!

Not necessarily. Keep in mind the old 'pure' classes are pretty much history. I think the squad will instead have skill sets that suit their personalities, like the squaddies we had in ME2/3.

Cora is a Vanguard, but I think she's going to lean more on her biotics than on close combat. So if anything she's probably the closest thing we'll get to an Adept (unless there's more squadmates).
Liam sounds like an Engineer, but even he prefers close melee combat, so that's a bit different.
Vetra and Drack are soldiers, but Vetra also has some tech skills so she's kinda like an Infiltrator, but less stealth-based and more tank-y I think. And Drack is a close quarters berserker type.
PeeBee is our Sentinel with her tech and biotics, but she's also got that gunslinger stuff, so, in a way she's like a jack of all trades.

That leaves Jaal as our long-range guy, since he's the only one with a sniper rifle. Maybe he's using stealth tech and such, something Angara-developed or Remnant based maybe? Could be that tech has biotic-like properties, so he's technically not a biotic but his powers are similar? Something kinda energy/force based... using magnetic fields/electricity and the like? I don't know, just speculating.

Seriously?? I honestly had no idea krogan could reach that age. Asari, too?

No, Asari can only reach around 1,000. The krogan are the oldest living race in our cycle. Makes sense since they are essentially super tortoises.

Both can reach up to more then a millennia, but krogans can reach up to 1400-1800 years, so more then asari.
