Yeah if it's used once in awhile that's fine, but it's his fav move, so I worry he'll just be spent in long battles. Now I wonder what Jaal's preferred move is?He bats his eyes at the enemy and they all stop fighting to post in a 254 page thread about him Jaal blows a kiss to the enemies and they all refuse to attack him (With a 50% for them to get stunned for a few seconds)

So Drack's bio just came out and it looks like he's a close combat warrior type. So... since neither he, Vetra, nor Liam have Biotics, do you guys think Jaal will have them (or some Andromeda equivalent - sort of like what Javik had?) Golly I hope not. I'm clinging to the idea that the cut squadmate was supposed to be a biotic and they didn't change anyone to accommodate the loss, or they're not bothered about representing each class. Because it kinda only leaves Adept for Jaal Still nice to see Drack's bio. Can't wait to see his character kit.

Omg there is gonna be Jaal in the vid tomorrow, hnnnnng! This is the 15 minutes of gameplay vid? No, this is apparently the first part of a "gameplay series" and tomorrow's video will be on abilities and weapons. We don't know who's going to be in the video doing what. I also want to mention that combat is the last thing I'm worried about I can't believe they chose that to start the series with... And of course it's a series, because they just love making us wait for every scrap of information we can get. Yeah idk if you can tell but I'm salty

It was just a hope that he might be included as a squaddie. It would be nice if they showed a bit of each squadmate though, to see how their skills work - but I suspect that might be a different video. Perhaps after we get Jaal's bio (hoping for that next week as well) since then he'll be officially announced. Keep in mind that at this point Jaal still hasn't been confirmed as a squadmate. It's just something we've gleaned based on the fact that, through dev tweets, we've learned he's a romance option and has a loyalty mission, and based on his Pop figure.

So it says that Drack has prosthetics, huh? I think at least one of them might be one of his hands, since it looks to have more metallic fixtures on it than a glove would have. Also, awesome! I can't recall off the top of my head if we've ever had a disabled squadmate, but I'm super excited we've got one now! Now why did you have to say that? I hate Drack, yet now I feel terrible for doing so since I've been a supporter of this. I'm sorry you don't like Drack...maybe he'll surprise you in-game? Or he'll grow on you. Regardless, I think it's nice that we're finally seeing more talk of prosthetics in the Mass Effect universe. You'd think, given the setting and the fact that so many people we meet are involved in armed conflict, there'd be more people with missing limbs in the cast.

To be quite and perhaps unflatteringly honest, the preciousness over Garrus by both a lot of the fandom and some of the devs annoys me. Characters don't exist to 'top' Garrus as if he was THE highlight of the original Mass Effect squadmates. Not everything is trying to "replace" Garrus in people's hearts. Visors don't belong to Garrus, they're typical scifi, Mass Effecty things. I see some callbacks design-wise to Garrus, but to dislike a new character over that already is silliness. I don't see anyone else saying that other characters are trying to 'top' original trilogy characters. That sole honor goes to the oh so amazing and irreplaceable Garrus. Yes the constant comparison actually turns me off to Jaal a little bit since I'm, er, a non-Garrus fan Though that's not the fault of Garrus fans of course; they're free to swoon and speculate away!

Maybe, but with that description I doubt it. His personality is pretty much the exact opposite of what I was hoping for from him. Not to mention he is like PeeBee and not wearing attire that matches the lore. Well, in ME3 we learn that prosthetics by this time are only temporary until you get a cloned version of whatever you lost. We hear this in the hospital in banter between an injured Alliance soldier and an asari doctor.

Nooo... Drack just nooo... don't become Iron Bull! Oh man... he's unstable too... in what sense like Iron Bull? He looks like a classic krogan, focusing and enjoying killing. His description is very reaver like! With Bull's blood lust and lust for battle replicated here.

I think we should remembers that classes don't work exactly as in the past. The fact that Jaal might be a biotic doesn't not mean he'll be classical adept, given he's a sniper type, most likely. I do think there might be chances he actually is now.

Well, his ability it's kind of a trademark of all krogans, and it doesn't focus only on offense like Reaver. It make him tougher too.

Because it kinda only leaves Adept for Jaal Still nice to see Drack's bio. Can't wait to see his character kit. Not necessarily. Keep in mind the old 'pure' classes are pretty much history. I think the squad will instead have skill sets that suit their personalities, like the squaddies we had in ME2/3. Cora is a Vanguard, but I think she's going to lean more on her biotics than on close combat. So if anything she's probably the closest thing we'll get to an Adept (unless there's more squadmates). Liam sounds like an Engineer, but even he prefers close melee combat, so that's a bit different. Vetra and Drack are soldiers, but Vetra also has some tech skills so she's kinda like an Infiltrator, but less stealth-based and more tank-y I think. And Drack is a close quarters berserker type. PeeBee is our Sentinel with her tech and biotics, but she's also got that gunslinger stuff, so, in a way she's like a jack of all trades. That leaves Jaal as our long-range guy, since he's the only one with a sniper rifle. Maybe he's using stealth tech and such, something Angara-developed or Remnant based maybe? Could be that tech has biotic-like properties, so he's technically not a biotic but his powers are similar? Something kinda energy/force based... using magnetic fields/electricity and the like? I don't know, just speculating.

I'm sort of leaning more toward techie because I suspect our interest in the Remnant vaults has something to do with why he joins us (from that few second scene in the old trailer with the Angara in what looks like a Vault). But I also think it's possible the Angara might have some inherent ability like Javik and the Protheans did.

We hear this in the hospital in banter between an injured Alliance soldier and an asari doctor. Ah, I'd almost forgotten about that! It makes me wonder why Drack hasn't bothered to do this. Maybe the associated cost? I don't know how insurance works in ME lore. I'll give you that about his personality (and armor, lol), though. The way they describe him sounds pretty generic krogan, sort of done to death? But I always felt like the game never went out of its way to really diversify many krogan personalities - they relied too much on differing political perspectives, which gave a false sense of depth to individual background characters. Though, as I said, the character profile was fairly generic. It doesn't say much about the quirks in his personality, so it's possible that Drack might end up being very different after all. Maybe a bit of a warrior-philosopher or something? I have my doubts now that this will be the case, but it'd be pretty cool, even if it's not what I personally hoped for.

To go back to the Garrus comparisons for a minute, I admit that when I first saw Jaal I thought "Hmm, he looks like a moulting Garrus..." (you know, like when insects shed their exoskeleton and get all squishy and swollen for a while ). It even disappointed me a bit since I was hoping for a more unique design. But I never thought "Garrus replacement" and I doubt his personality will be similar, why would the devs do that? Actually I expect we'll get different character archetypes than what we had in the original trilogy, cause surely the devs want to explore new grounds as well? (I wouldn't mind some similarities to Javik tho... I loved Javik. A similar voice would be hot great...)
