Hello! I've been lurking around here for a while now but now I shall finally step out from the shadows!!!
I'm crazily hyped after watching this newest video, it was just beautiful. And also, any Jaal I can get from it, I take.
Now, I am not sure if someone said it already but I honestly think this beautiful nighttime jungle something (in the combat trailer) is the Angara homeworld. It reminds me a lot of the one from the previous trailer we got.

Another note, if they just add more soundtrack pieces like the one we hear at the end of both of the trailers I've mentioned - I'll be overjoyed.

Oh no, speculate away! We've built a 275+ page thread here based on a name and a picture.   Just keep in mind that the order of events in a trailer don't always coincide with game events, so it's not necessarily proof of anything.

As for squadmates not getting along... My theory is that with Drack/Vetra/PeeBee being the more morally grey/selfishly motivated half of the squad, Jaal, Liam, and Cora will be the more upright group. Though that certainly doesn't mean they won't butt heads if their motives or methods differ. Since Vetra is the one skeptical about going out to meet the Angara (if that is in fact how that scene plays out with her line there) I think bringing her along might be fun if you're looking for some interesting conflict. Or Drack, maybe? We find out from what I'll just call 'the Reyes scene' form now on that the Roekaar (who we can safely guess are an Angaran faction from the recent video) have been assaulting Krogan. So that might make for some initial tension if that's what first contact between the two species looked like. Liam seems like a pretty friendly guy who will get along with most people, though I suspect his recklessness and idealism might rub some the wrong way. If Jaal ends up being a bit uptight that could be the case. It's hard to know with no sense of Jaal's personality though!

I hope Jaal has a lot of lines about his opinion of the different Milky Way races he meets!

Though as a warning to those who get bothered by this, there's a big chance that he may be hostile/not so flattering when talking about the other races at first. If my theorizing is right, there may be one race in particular that the Angara, including Jaal, develop a particular hostility for. I have a feeling Angara aren't going to be big fans of the Kett either, if we start getting to a point where we ally with groups of them.

So just in case, be prepared for some "ugh, I don't like Jaal he's so racist" from the fandom. I don't think that, even if he is like that at first, he'll stay that way, though.

TBH I'd find that disappointing. If a group of aliens suddenly dropped in from another galaxy and started building a colony on Neptune, I'd be pretty alarmed. Not saying Jaal has to be straight up racist, but I'm hoping he at least starts out viewing the Milky Way races with some suspicion. I'm also hoping he gets over it if we earn his trust, but that feels like it should take some work.

Same here. To not hold suspicion toward a bunch of aliens popping in from another galaxy with weapons and the intent to claim territory would be quite foolish, regardless of if those aliens claim they "come in peace". I think it'd be pretty weird if Jaal wasn't guarded at first. He doesn't strike me as the naive optimist type.
