I'm trying to get my head around how Angaran heads are. It kind of looks like they only have two soft, kind of bunny ear-like tentacles, which are the ones that hang down. The top of their head and maybe the piece in the back look like they're made of firmer stuff.  I'm also trying to figure out if the females are wearing some kind of decoration over the harder pieces of their heads or if it naturally looks like that. Looks more like decoration. It looked like the female leader? was wearing a decoration. Maybe something to do with rank? I watched the trailer in slow-mo and watched how they walked. The legs bend in extreme angles compared to the other ME alien species'. Getting a lion-like vibe. Look at a lion's legs. Very muscular and flexible. |

Yeah, so far PeeBee seems to be the character fans are least excited to meet. It doesn't help that a lot of people got Sera vibes from her. I'm not sure why, but it's definitely colored a lot of opinions. I personally find the Asari somewhat dull and I'd have been ecstatic if we'd had another alien on our team instead like a Quarian or Salarian, but that's never going to happen. That's not to say I'm going to be a Debbie Downer about Peebee. I'm sure I'll like her and I have no negative feelings toward her, but at the moment I'm a teensy bit tired of seeing her face.  |

It's a shame that despite being everywhere in MEA advertising there is so little to talk about when it comes to her. All that we really know is that she joins us to find tech along the way, she's asari, and she's "bubbly." In the 2nd official cinematic she's on the thumnail of the video, but has next to no relevance compared to Cora and Liam. Really hope they give out more information about her and don't just stick her on the face of everything MEA. |

Peebee also started out with her face looking a bit like Shrek's, and then she's an asari...so 2 things against her early on. I think a bunch of folks are just tired of seeing so many Asari everywhere and were hoping one of the other less-known races would be featured. Looks like its already happening with Peebo. What is it with Mac the developers slapping asari on every plastic lunchbox and piece of marketing material. Can't they see how the overall fan reception of asari has slowly waned and festered because of it, one could argue? I would hope Peebo ends up being a great character. But why is she on everything? Despite wanting to know LITERALLY EVERYTHING about Jaal, especially his romance status, a part of me also kind of wants a lot of Jaal to be left to be discovered in game. The asari are kinda an iconic race in ME. Don't be hating on the blue goddesses.  Can you tell I have a weakness for blue? |

Cullen! I'd love me a good, awkward, fluffy romance in a Mass Effect game. Theirs tend to be... very heavy. A Cullen would be a palate cleanser. But I don't think we'd get that from a Jaal romance, simply because there's a lot going on there. Newcomers to a galaxy, trying to find a home, possibly infringing on Angaran territory: fluffy doesn't feel like it's in the cards. Epic, though? That could work. I'm expecting Jaal to be the equivalent of Liara, really.Please. No. BioWare: You want to romance Jaal? You know you want to romance Jaal!.........Are you sure you don't want to romance Jaal? Because we think you want to romance Jaal. So....you really don't want to romance Jaal? That's fine, we'll still make him one of the most important people in your life anyway. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Liara. But good gosh. Oh, but I adored that about Liara! Actually, the way she and Garrus both became so important as characters even without romance was one of my favorite parts of the ME trilogy. I felt like Garrus was my best friend, and the scene with Liara and the time capsule in ME3 made me cry. I remember thinking "Geez, I bet the people who romanced her really got a lot out of this romance." Also, I doubt fluffy is in the cards, but you never know. And Cullen was hands down the best romance I've ever played through in a Bioware game. Wiped away the bad taste the Anders storyline left for me in DA2. I'm very cautious now. Anders told me our romance was a bad idea and I went with it anyway. When Solas told my Inquisitor the same thing, I decided we were better off as friends. Thank goodness for that. Although part of me now wonders if there will be something super cool for those who romanced him in the next DA game...but history would seem to say no. Bioware enjoys breaking our hearts with at least one romance in each game, I think. I always bear this in mind now and pay close attention to dialogue cues. |

I don't hate the Asari (unpopular opinion: my least favorite major ME race is actually the Krogan), I just kinda overdosed on Liara because they made her really important without any input from me, where I would have preferred other characters I like better get that kind of screen time instead (or at least also). And now we have PeeBee. I actually think I'll like her a lot, but... they're pushing her so hard in the marketing when I really just want to see more of everyone else. Finally she played a minor role in this last trailer and we got our other squadmates! yay! - and that's the first time that's happened in the couple years since the game announced... So it's not that I dislike the Asari (setting aside the 'blue space babes' trope, I think their culture and such are pretty neat), it's just that the devs seem to think they're everyone's favorite, so we always get one as a companion, and they're at least a romance-lite, and Liara got her own DLC, and now PeeBee's the star of MEA's promo campaign... Meanwhile I'm like, where are mah Quarians...? You didn't forget to put them in the game, did you...? |

I'd classify the Garrus romance as fairly fluffy, but it's still great. |
