I think it'll just be another way to react to the people you talk to, and perhaps lead to more if a flirt is initiated.

Being a compassionate woman irl, I always hoped to be able to comfort good friends like that in the games, but sadly it was more or less just leading them on if used too often. I'm hoping that's part of what the heart option means.

Well if someone is confiding in you or telling you a sob story, I would hope the heart doesn't mean you're trying to bang them in a moment of weakness aka "I want you Thane"

Exactly. I still used it to comfort Cullen and role-played I was doing it as a friend, but what I truly meant by the action the symbol did not, therefore i am hoping this new heart means we can be kind without flirty when someone is in need of comfort.

Not even the eyes!? Haha..then again I don't see anything squid-like about the Angara like other people are. 

I guess, since I'm a cat-lover, I think of cats as small, cute, fuzzy, adorable babies The angara seem very strong and beautiful, very alien. Not cute at all.

They look like human eyes to me. Though I haven't seen a pic of him since the trailer. I need to google.

Oh okay. Yeah I don't see my cat there AT ALL But a lion is different... as for the nose, he doesn't appear to have one, at least not one that sticks out prominently the way a cat's would. Though of course I know the comparison isn't meant to be totally like for like. I can see it a bit better now, though I still don't like the thought of associating my (hopefully) future love interest with my cat LOL

On the squid thing for me it's those tentacles and his skin, it looks like it would feel like a squid's. More like a cat though imo

It's possible to have Flirt + Investigates or Flirt + various Tone options, yup.

Sorry, it's just, I made this awful MSPaint thing a few days ago when the topic first came up, but then it ended and I didn't wanna post it. But now you guys are talking about it again and I can use it!



It's not great, obviously, but it's where I see squid and not cat. It's like if the squid grew a body out from their mouth area, and their tentacles became more like hair. I just... I don't see feline. Except the slitted eyes, I guess? But crocodiles and vipers have slitted eyes, too. Besides, if Bioware does eventually create cat-aliens, I hope they wait until they can do fur properly and make 'em really fluffy. With tails.

I wonder if the things on his head really are some sort of tentacles or one solid part with some furrows on it. Reminds me of a conversation between Joker(?) and Liara if she could move the things on her head. She was not amused.

And I have definitely never petted a squid, no idea what their skin might feel like.
