Don't forget the first explicit m/m sex scene (a good one too) in Bioware game. 

So here is my scott and Jaal together in one of my favorite scenes. I didn't get there yet in my insanity playthrough, so I just decided to load up my speed run so y'all can see them together. When I actually get to the lake scene I'll post those as well.

Jaal is honestly going to make BW history with his fame and development in the past 5 months! He's the best BW romance for both sexes, he's the first bi alien in ME, and the first to be made bi without having to wait for 3 games. I also like how he is different with each Ryder because of how different each Ryder is with him. Sara is shy and awkward, so Jaal takes the lead and Scott is more forward, so Jaal is the more shy one, but in the end up growing together and forming a beautiful and lasting (LASTING BW! NO KILLING OFF!!!) relationship with the Ryder of your choice.

For me he is, since my choices, while plenty, are some of the worst ideas written for a straight woman.

Decided to do a speedrun for fun! Takes roughly 2 hours to beat the game on Narrative, and sadly Scott did not get a "Dearest" email from Jaal, but he did get the after sex email.

I am loving the differences between Scott and Sara's romance with him, which I can see better in my own game than a vid on the Internet. 4K monitor FTW!

This is what I've learned:

Scott is not afraid to go for what he wants. He actually surprises Jaal with his interest. Jaal being used to only women falling for him clearly shows this is not something he's had before, but something he feels too and wishes to pursue. I don't know if this was done on purpose or not, but it seems Scott is Jaal's first male LI. Especially if you read the "Tempter" email. Jaal reacts more at ease with Scott than Sara, most likely due to Scott not being relatable to Allia. This allows Jaal to show his emotions quicker and without fear of rejection. This is not because Scott is male though. I suspect Sara reminded Jaal of Allia in many ways, and that is partly why he was drawn to her, but she proved to be loyal and accepted him for who he is and not who he is supposed to be.

With Scott, Jaal is able to show just how affectionate an Angara can truly be, since Scott himself is an emotional guy. This is where the writers did a great job with adding the twin's personalities into the romance, so Jaal would treat them slightly differently. Scott is the sweet, chill brother. Sara is a bit more reserved with her feelings, unless she's embarrassing everyone with a bad joke. Just watch her flirt with Suvi for proof of how bad she is lol and Jaal is reserved too, out of respect for this being a new experience for her in many ways. By the end of the game, both Ryder's are more than happy to show the galaxy how much they love Jaal by having a very intimate moment in front of a crowd of people. Scott and Jaal hug and kiss many times. Sara and Jaal kiss passionately and then he picks her up in his arms and twirls her. By this point, they have grown comfortable in their relationship with Jaal, and he has taught them to be freer with their emotions. Especially Sara.

In the end, romancing Jaal as either Ryder is a new experience (unlike Vetra/PeeBee/Reyes), and a chance to see a new side to Jaal, which only makes him even more amazing, and gives you an idea of what the writers could do with his character if they continue MEA in the future.

While I don't think there needs to be a drastic difference in writing-both genders in a bisexual romance should have their own unique animations as the copy and paste thing never works out. It always looks horrible for at least one gender-and sometimes it just doesn't look good for either since they tried to make it work for both. The trick is to make sure that the animations are equal in quality. This was thankfully what was achieved with Jaal.

Well despite that one line BW was smart to remove where Jaal said he wanted to catch the eye of women only (and let's be honest, that is also a damn insult to Sara. He is basically saying he wants to impress all the ladies but her lol), Jaal never showed he wouldn't be open to a relationship with a man, but he also never showed interest in men, so having a different interaction with Scott during the sex scene makes sense. He is suave with the ladies, but Scott is not a lady, so he is not going to use the same lines he would on a woman with him. He sees Scott in a way that is different than any female lover, so he treats him differently. It's truly beautiful when you experience it firsthand like I did.

In future BW game, if a character is written bi, what I hope is they make them unique for each gender as in no more body swapping without consideration to their height change, etc... and certain body parts women DO NOT have lol
