Eh I'm gonna wait until we get a real confirmation on Jaal himself because Bioware might be trying to be sneaky and could be referring to "banging" some other Angaran(s).

I'd surmise that each of our companions are a different class and we already know Cora is an Adept so that cuts that option out. Plus looks like PeeBee is a Sentinel based off of her powers and Liam is an Engineer based off of his description which leaves Vektra, Drack and Jaal left fulfilling Vanguard, Soldier and Infiltrator. Vektra as Infiltrator, Drack as Vanguard and Jaal as Soldier maybe? Or maybe Drack as Soldier and Jail as Vanguard...

It's been confirmed, mostly through leaks, that an Andromedean will join the squad, and that dude is the only Andromedean with a Funko Pop and an actual name.

Him joining the party is a given.

So I was checking out MEA's IMDB page and I noticed that they listed Jaal as "Jaal Ama Darav." They also listed a guy called Nyasha Hatendi as his VA. I'm not sure if we can trust this info since IMDB can often be wrong pre-release, but it seems plausible. From his filmography, Nyasha Hatendi has been a VA before for Dreamfall Chapters.

Personally I find the Angara design much better than the Kett's, but I'm more interested in the Kett race as a whole.

I don't have an opinion on whether that character should be a LI, but the new species sort of looks like Chagrians from the Star Wars universe.

Well, while the hints kind of gave the impression the relationship might be sexual, they could've written the romance path without the sex part.
But I don't think it'll be like I said (at least, not by default, the sexless path might be an option), and I'd bet there'll be a female Angarian being romanceable in that planet too, given their statement of some light romance being present outside the squad and crew.

If he's our squadmate, well, going through constant life-threatening situations with someone tends to make you grow closer and break down those barriers. Frankly, the "it's too soon" argument is a bit silly.

Nice human romances always abound in these games. I'm just happy we'll be able get so get so close with an Andromeda alien so soon. Not that romance is the only or best way to do that, but it's nice to know it's possible when I was recently having some worries about how much new alien races would feature. And whether they'd be drowned out by Milky Way fan favorite aliens and drama.
