I love it

Better than the generic cinema music of Christopher Lennerz in ME2/3 but overall I still just miss Jack Wall and back when it was the days. I feel like I'm getting old already.

Overall it's still too much of this sweeping cinematically troped chords and "I want to be grandiose and epic!". I'm not fully into it. It feels cliche.

Anyone remember this?

This on the other hand...

I was like "dammit!" too but I'm already playing a full trilogy run as we speak but I'm on ME3 already and now I wanna go back to ME1 again lol. Jack Wall isn't always great (ME2 had a lot of "pirate, arrr" space music IMO) but his music is still top-of-the-line composition work and his style is his own unlike the many, many sheep-composers who just go with the latest trend started by Hans Zimmer or use whatever style is hottest in the radio atm.

I heard some of Wall's recent stuff with CoD and some indie sci-fi game and he does use more dubsteppy elements now but it's still decidedly Jack Wall and he never uses those elements without somehow alienating it either which is completely great IMO. I really wonder if he just got sick of working together with BioWare since he hasn't come back at this point. Maybe the pay was shit for the amount of work he had to do.

I like it but I stand by that I think it's generic Hans Zimmer-alike music and BioWare probably picked the composer because they like trendy modern music more than anything unique and genre defining like ME1's.
