What if all the races that travel to the Andromeda have more in common to the races that live there then we think?
Maybe these races actually are older races that lived in the Milky Way long time ago and later traveled to Andormeda.

What if all the races that travel to the Andromeda have more in common to the races that live there then we think? Like races who fled from the oppressive regime of the Leviathan or destruction by the Reapers? Similarly, the Protheans gave people little choice: submit or die [technically "beat us to live" but it was always "die"]. People could have fled from them, too. Probably won't happen but interesting thought. |

Wouldn't surprise me if some races fled previous cycles into Andromeda. It'd be boring if everyone we came across fled from the milky way, though.

Last trailer seems to indicate that some of the Andromedains know about humans being from another galaxy but then again we arrived late...
My point however is they seemed matter-of-fact about it as if it was nothing out of the ordinary and happened all the time.

I would think that if they came from the Milky Way, most of the current races would have been in their infancy at the time they left. Humans might not even have been on their radar since we may have still been crawling our way out of the primeval ooze. They definitely didn't seem overly surprised, though so they likely had some interaction with those races on the Nexus, at least.

That could also be explained by them already encountering people on the Nexus since everyone else arrived before the Ryder's did, and word trickling through the Helios cluster that people arrived from the Milky Way, so that the Andromedeans would know about newcomers without explicitly seeing them in person. |
