Sorry who the heck is Sloane ? Former head of Nexus security, now the leader of Kadara outpost and a sort of Aria-type figure. The one Sara talks to in the gameplay video, and grabs one of her lackeys' Carnifexes. Carnifex... Carnifexi? Anyway, that one. Sloane Kelly. Ah gotcha ! Got my hopes up that there was some other leak that I wasn't aware of and we had another male LI for Scott anywho carry on I'll be over here in the corner watching everyone else speculate lol

Someone posted this yesterday: @gamblemike hey Mike, is there gonna be other romancable male character for FemRyder besides Liam? other than a krogan? Michael Gamble @mladysailing yes Sort of confirms Liam. That's good news for Sara Ryder players! Would love it if gay men could get a yes or no on Liam as well. At the very least, I just want (no dammett NEED) confirmation on whether Scott can romance a male squadmate. I don't care if its human or alien at this point, I just need to know if Scott can romance a male squadmate *heavy panicked breathing* I feel like people need to keep tweeting the devs on m/m romances on the squad * I can't be the only one doing it* I'm at the stage where I don't mind if I don't get a gay squadmate. A bisexual squadmate would be ok for me, since at least I know my Scott Ryder can romance a squadmate. It would be great for gay men and lesbians to get a squadmate each, but I doubt it. Likely it'll be NPC again Rydude: 3 female options, 3 male options; 4 alien options, 2 human options; 1 asexual option Rydette: 3 female options, 3 male options; 4 alien options, 2 human optons; 1 asexual option I would love it if this ^ were true, since even if people don't like the actual romances, at least they can't argue others get more options compared to everyone else (except for those pursuing asexual or chaste romances, cause BioWare just don't seem to be dropping many hints on that atm) However, given developer comments and tweets and knowing this is a ME game, I'm fairly certain we won't see this equal balance, and instead inevitably see one group get more over others.

I always went full renegade on the Omega dlc. Because.. Aria Yeah Nyreen wasn't too bad but I've never been into turians. Also, The Elder King could be right and it would make sense too. But if Vetra is a LI, it's more likely that she is for Scott because guys never had a turian romance and they no longer have a quarian LI so BioWare may have been thinking to give them a Turian romance instead. Also, we'd get two aliens as lesbian option and no humans. Which could be weird for some? I wouldn't mind to have Cora as bi option, tho. Of course, that's just speculation and I'm probably wrong in most of the things I've said:) As for the asexual romance, BioWare could do so that you tell them once and the romance take a slightly different arc with different dialogues/cutscenes that remain saved for future games. (Not with every Li but with some atleast) But this could take too much resources. To be fair, girls interested in guys had access to Garrus. Ladies looking for ladies didn't. But I see your point, so, perhaps she's bisexual, Cora is straight, and Sloane is gay? That'd work out, too. That way, f/f has access to two alien species as well, instead of being stuck with just Asari again. Yes, yes, this is working out better. Numerically, mind you. So: Cora: StraightPB: PansexualJaal: BisexualReyes: GayLiam: StraightVetra: BisexualKallo: BiromanticSloane: Gay
Rydude: 3 female options, 3 male options; 4 alien options, 2 human options; 1 asexual option Rydette: 3 female options, 3 male options; 4 alien options, 2 human optons; 1 asexual option The main problem is, once again in a Mass Effect game, the gay options are not squadmates, as far as we know. In regards to an asexual romance: oh yes, I am aware that a separate arc would be far to expensive. If they do have a multiple game series again, I hope that, in later games and depending on your LI, it'll leave instigating sex to the player. That way, instead of having to turn down your LI every time, it's something that players can choose to do. Or simply have an explicit asexual romance ([ COUGHCOUGH] Kallo [ COUGHCOUGH]). [ SQUINTS] Did I really call Kallo Jallo oh my gosh. I kept almost doing that. GAH. I'm going to end up calling him Jello once, I know it.Your options are perfect and everyone get the same number of LIs. I'd just put Liam bi for the reasons I already mentioned, yes numerically it wouldn't be equal but everyone would have atleast an important character. I say this because we don't know when Jaal will be part of the team or how much he will be important. And yes I know about the gay/lesbian options never being squadmates in ME Actually, my own guesses are based on how Mass Effect games have been in the past. I expect this game to be with more representation but they'll always give the priority to the straight male gamers. Tbh, I don't mind it that much as long as everyone have atleast an interesting/important squadmate as LI. ME2 was a bit sad for me because no Liara so no f/f option in my squad. But back to Andromeda, maybe and just maybe if the squad was as big as the one in ME2 we would have had a gay and lesbian squadmate. Mass Effect Andromeda 2 could add them. Part of me is thinking that they decided to have a little team in MEA because maybe in a sequel they don't have to leave anybody out of the squad. (This if they're planning to keep the Ryders of course. Which I hope they do because I'd like to see them growing up in a new trilogy) As for Jallo .... uh ... Kallo, it would be interesting to see an asexual romance with him. Not sure I'd do it but I'd certainly watch it on youtube

If Jaal is bi there's going to be tons of '' who is the better Ryder to romance him with '' debates, aren't there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the secret gay male Turian romance we know nothing about yet. I know you exist... don't fail me now!! *sweats* I don't think that has happened with bi/pan DA characters though so I'd say that it likely won't with ME:A's either. I know it did with Kaidan's, but it had disparity in romance between genders since the start, being f/m option at ME1 and only m/m at ME3. So as long as the romance doesn't have differences between the genders like DA's case there shouldn't be any debate to have. Oh man, it definitely happened with Iron Bull, unfortunately (and then the Dorian/Iron Bull shippers got involved too, and yeah. People had a lot of opinions about Iron Bull's ideal partner, lol.) I'm not so sure about Josephine, though I think a lot of people dismissed her romance as being very straight guy oriented for whatever reason. And it's still a thing that causes issues with Fenris romancers (I've never even romanced the dude but I've seen people get really nasty over whether he should be with mHawke or fHawke.) And as far as I know all those romances are pretty much identical regardless of the gender of the PC. In my experience those debates are pretty common in certain segments of fandom, now that I think about it, and I'm sure they'll spring up again with whoever the bi LI's are. You just have to learn to ignore them, I guess. People are always going to get intense over the LIs, lol, it's like the sun rising and setting.

Personally I am annoyed by the slight "no homo" response male Hawke can make after he and Fenris sleep together; presumably female Hawke doesn't have such odious lines. But most of what I've seen regarding this "debate" is that SOME fans of female Hawke were mad that most FenHawke fan art depicts male Hawke. Male Hawke fans snapped back. It was.... one of the dumbest disputes I've ever had to witness.

In what way can a romance with a bi character wor better with a female or male PC? what are the arguments about? Usually about what sex the love interest prefers or would be most comfortable with considering their words and past. Like for example people have argued Leliana and Isabela are better with a female Warden and Hawke respectively.

Personally I thought Kaidan and male Shep was more adorable in ME3 because they had a friendship that had rough patches and grew into something more over time that male Shep had no idea about because Kaidan never let on (unlike female Shep and Kaidan where he was too obvious especially when you first go to the Citadel in ME1). Same with female Shep and Garrus. It felt more real.

I know I personally am way more uncomfortable playing a woman in a "sub" relationship with Bull than with a man. That said, I also find Bull's comments to Dorian a bit uncomfortable, too. Still, doesn't mean one is "better" than the other. Individual players can have preferences but trying to prove one is better than the other is just plain stupid lol (Sort of like the devs saying "this sexuality didn't really fit this character." You did not just say that...).

It's like when I used to watch tv shows and wait until the end of the season or the start of the next to see if the guy and girl I shipped got together. I love having my female Shep romance no one in ME1 and then developed a friends with benefits thing with Garrus that evolves into more, then by ME3 he confesses his love to her before she runs off to her possible death. I would love for that in MEA. I meet the guy I like but nothing happens until much later on in the story. No quickies.

( Assuming the previous leak is referring to Reyes.) Like, more important to the plot than poor Traynor or Cortez were. But, yes, having Liam be bisexual would definitely be preferable. That would make things a little uneven, but, as long as everybody gets options, that'd be cool.

It was me, I did it. I know it's Kallo but keep typing Jallo. [ CLEARS THROAT] Th-the letters are very close together on the keyboard, a-and his last name starts with a ' J', so, it's all very reasonable-- Gosh darn it. He's gonna be Jello in my head forever, I think.

Strawberry Jello because of the pink lighting on him in the trailer Ah man I don't get why I want a romance with the little guy, but I am just so curious I guess. We already know Krogan can be interested in humans, and if you reject Mordin he gets a bit flustered, so it's not impossible. Also in ME3 I swear the female human had a thing for that Salarian on the Citadel.

Yeah I swore I saw that on Twitter and then when he briefed us I was like.... what? Strawberry Jello because of the pink lighting on him in the trailer Ah man I don't get why I want a romance with the little guy, but I am just so curious I guess. Also in ME3 I swear the female human had a thing for that Salarian on the Citadel. I would love a romance with him, too ^^ You're not alone I like salarians a lot, and he seems very cute in his enthusiasm for his ship haha Tbh I am fine with sex in a romance; sometimes it works out really nicely and is important for the characters (like my headcanon for Hawke and Fenris where physical intimacy is a big deal for Fenris) but I also enjoy playing asexual romances, like my headcanon for my Lavellan and Solas. As long as there is romance and confessions and awkwardness and someone at some point saves someone else (gives me Shepard freaking out over Kaidan after Mars 1000x over please xD) I am a happy gamer!

I am swooning at the sheer idea of an innocent romance with Kallo. Just like Josie. No sex scenes. Just sweetness.

I don't think that has happened with bi/pan DA characters though so I'd say that it likely won't with ME:A's either. I guess I have been hanging in wrong places then to not witness this. .. or maybe right ones

The debates between fanboys are the main reason to go to the character forums.
Didn't the Miranda fanboys end up getting the character forum closed for a few years on the old BSN?
But off the topic of debates here, scrolling through I see a lot of talk about the Salarian pilot perhaps being an option of sorts. I didn't think Salarians entered romantic relationships? They only live for ~30 years and their processes are on overdrive, if Kallo was to fall in love with Ryder, he'd be out of love by morning, they just aren't wired for that sort of thing. All they care about is getting a good breeding contract so that their next generation is smarter than they are.

Sincerely hope Vetra isn't a lesbian though I'll probably romance her anyway if she is.
