They really need to stop making these cryptic ass comments and either deny or say yes, or say NOTHING AT ALL. The more they dance around it, the more I'm in disbelief and believe this is all just to trick people into being hopeful and preordering. I don't think Taylorson is allowed to say anything, so we should ask the devs instead. Besides, the Ryder VAs admitted in interviews that they don't quite know what lines they voiced are going to ship with the game. It's possible he voiced some lines for a idk bi Jaal romance and that it didn't actually get into the main product, so he's assuming based off that. |

I'm incredibly sceptical about these rumours. If there are two male and female options for Sara, and more than two female options for Scott on the squad but no male options for Scott on the squad that would be the most skewed the romance options have ever been. I'm sure that somebody would have picked up on that, and would be very surprised if it got through. I mean, it's possible, but I'm sure Bioware are fully aware of the justified outcry that would ensue. I can't see them doing it knowing that. Really? I can see them doing that quite easy, given their silence about strictly the m/m romances, but acting nonchalant about straight guys options with Cora and Peebee, and all the female LIs. They'd just argue that the content for the NPC/crewmember is long and very good and whatnot, trying to justify it. It wouldn't justfiy it, not at all, but it lines up completely with everything they've said, from Mac's "has to feel right" comments, to the stuff they've said about how every character has a lot of dialogue, more than ME3's characters. Sorry but there is no justification for gay guys being the only ones to not have a romanceable squadmate, and only having a crewmember. NONE. They haven't confirmed any romances outside of Cora for Scott. Personally I draw a big distinction between all of those minor things, like the comments about character sexuality and showing Cora kissing Scott in the trailer, which were perfectly fine things that people exaggerated and used to justify seemingly unrealistic fears, and Scott not having any male options on the main squad which is a legitimately shitty thing for them to do and a legitimate reason to complain. If it is true I'll be thoroughly peeved off, because I don't want the people who harped on about every little thing like it was the end of the world and made out since day one that gay players would get shitty options with no evidence to be be right. That and it would mean no romanceable male aliens for Scott on either the squad or crew, which would be a complete joke. But like I said, I'm sceptical until we actually have evidence. There's no point acting hysterical over what somebody who knows somebody supposedly said. |

I have a feeling Jaal is bi.
Besides he looks like the alien version of Beauty and the Beast , and I remember the long GayKISA thread...now he's not a knight exactly , but that would cover the romantic yearning and the let's bang an alien wishes.
I would be very very surprised if he's only available to femaleRyder.

Welp, it looks like at most their will be one bi male squadmate but only the NPCs are gay. At the least, no gay/bi squadmates, only NPCs.
Either way, zero gay male squadmates. Not too shocking I guess, given Bioware's history.

Well I am trying to find something positive in news/leaks that seem rather hopeless. So if boys don't get a chance at Jaal, it could be another male alien, WHICH COULD MEAN A MALE TURIAN FOR DUDES which I've been craving for! While not the optimal situation, it's still something, and I can find solace in that. And furthermore, for all we know, the NPC romances have spectacular content, ESPECIALLY if the sole gay male romance is an NPC, they would be completely in the wrong to not give him good amount of content and make him important. If you ain't gonna give gay men a variety of options, and if you ain't going to make any of the male squadmates male accessible, then they better put all their goddamn effort into those damn NPC romances, because otherwise the shit is going to hit the fan. Or not, if straight male players and female players (of all sexualities) are content with their options, I doubt any shit will be hitting the fan. Gay male romances seem to be the bottom of the barrel in terms of importance. I don't know if it amounts to anything but even if I get good content as a lesbian I won't be quiet if gay/bi guys gets shafted. The game having lots of lesbian content and very little gay (male) content would raise red flags for me. It would make me wonder if the lesbian content was made for women like me or for straight guys. I hope they don't fuck this up. Of course lesbian content is made for straight males too. I have no doubt about that, never had. You think Liara was planned for lesbians when ME1 came? Oh no. She was for straight males, no matter if they play a male or female character. I still wait to meet a straight man who plays a male character who is gay. Might happen when cows learn to fly. I'm sure there are some unicorns somewhere, I just haven't heard of them. Remember: Lesbians doing it is hawt, gays doing it is disgusting. Not to mention all gays just waiting to shove their gay-agenda to everyones face, while they are preying for innocent straight males, just waiting to attack them because for some reason they think gays must find them irresistable LOL. I yet to hear straight males to complain about lesbian-agenda. This double standard never seems to get old. Or does someone believe that all that lesbian porn all over the internet is for lesbian women? It is not. |
