The Character Romance thread (Official)

People said the nudity rating changed to M, so maybe it now includes hotter sex scenes with gay Scott too. At least that's what I'm hoping for. I don't need nudity per se, but I always thought the gay and lesbian sex scenes in Mass Effect 3 were stupid. I mean, they wake up with their shorts/bras on after they had sex together. It doesn't make sense, unless they have a problem to sleep naked together and put their clothes on before they fall to sleep.

The problem I have with the latino buzzcut guy is that he resembles Steve, optically. Why not give us something different? It feels like they don't care enough about giving gay guys some innovative looking LI's. But I don't want to jump into conclusions... maybe I'm positively surprised. Personally, I'd prefer an independent, intelligent and confident guy with his own agenda who doesn't always agree with Scotts point of view.

People like that will find a reason to complain no matter what. They found reason to complain (reasons relating to him being gay) about Arcade Gannon. And it's difficult to hide a gay character better than that one lol.


The only way some people would not complain about a gay character is if he (or she to a lesser extent) is their ideal type of gay character, the non-existant-gay. 

Cortez lacked stereotype imo.

I just feel it's important to be reminded that we don't know who the buzzcut guy actually is. He could be a light romance. Also, even if he is one of the main romances, we know that they've changed hairstyles for their characters before (I think Cora initially had a different hairstyle because they had to update her icon) so it's entirely possible they changed out the buzzcut, too. I think we just don't have enough info right now to feel like they aren't caring enough to give gay LI's some cool looks.

Yes, that's why I said before, that I hope his buzzcut is only a placeholder.

No problem. I am really afraid that I will not find him attractive in the end. But I hope, of course, that I am wrong and Bioware positively surprises me. If the dark skinned man from the promo was Liam first, they had changed him quite a bit during the development process. Perhaps this is true for the buzzcut guy as well.

Any leaked info could have changed and just as recent as a few days ago devs were still changing things, so I would not heed any leak at all anymore and wait for official confirmations.

I for one can't wait for ea early access so this madness can end. I just want confirmations on who and what fem ryder can bang.

But I like the buzzcut look....

I don't know, but as a straight female I can say my men all had tragic pasts and seriously enough is enough with that lol

Cortez romance was a bit too fast for me. If he was on the team since ME2 and then became romanceable in ME3, I would've liked his story better.

Mhmm. I think we can all do for some more variety on character-types available to each orientation.
