When the first gameplay trailer was released(4K Tech Video) alot of people thought that the male Ryder voice actor was Nolan North(Nathan Drake, Uncharted). Later we got the info that it isnt Nolan North, it is Tom Taylorson.
But after seing the latest Cinematic trailer I got the impression that Ryder dosnt just sound like Nathan Drake, he also look like him and act like him. The look in his face is very Nathan in time 0:46 in the video below. Also when way he says "we're explorers, no an army" and "I dont need an army, I got a Krogan" he sounds alot like of Nathan Drake and also act and express him like Nathan Drake. And the "we´re explorers" thing make it feel even more Uncharted in space. Have Bioware done this for porpose in order to get more people to play the game?
To me this is a very good idea, why? Because before all the trailers I had attitude that there is no way that the new main character going to be as good as Shepard(not even close). But when I saw the 4K Tech video first time and thought it was Nolan North I felt relieved, because Nathan Drake is a totally different character. Becuase I love the Uncharted games it would be easier to accept that Shepard isnt in the game.
So to me the explorer thing and the way Male Ryder acts, looks and talks it feel like a Uncharted in space.

Never played Uncharted.
MEA will have been well locked down by the time Uncharted 4 came out, so the question becomes: Was this game feeding off 2011's Uncharted 3.
Would that make sense?

Uncharted is a great series. If they took ideas from that... (especially puzzles... please puzzles are awesome! and no not those shitty ME2 minigames) then that's awesome!

Have Bioware done this for porpose in order to get more people to play the game? I imagine not. If Bioware truly wanted Mass Effect Andromeda to be like Uncharted it would have been a ps4 exclusive and only playable as a male which would have been a death sentence.

Any ability to use Keyboard and mouse or do I still need to use a controller? Need a dual shock controller. Any ability to use Keyboard and mouse or do I still need to use a controller? That I do not know (I don't actually use the service I just know about it) But I think you still have to use a controller. As I figured. That destroys any chance I would have to play console games then. Due to medical reasons that doctors can't identify -I can't use a controller for more than five minutes with out my hands swelling and locking in place. Like: COMBINED with something like finger tendonitis of steel-like proportions. Note UNLIKE the picture my hands are in a bent state in holding a controller. Sometimes takes a metal knife to pry my hands loose. Even for me that part is painful. Then I have to soak them in ice water for about ten minutes to get the swelling to go down and my hands return to normal. Doctors have done many tests and say that they don't know what it is but tell me it is not gout among other things -so at least on that I feel good.

I don't know if I would use the word "explorer" do describe the Uncharted series. Considering that Drake is always after something as opposed to research and science. That being said, there too totally different franchises one's linear and the other is not. Plus, there is CC, so the look a like doesn't really work.

Hey OP - it does sound a look a tad like my boy Nate..... What I loved about the Uncharted series was the wonderful relationship between the characters and Nates sardonic humor. Would love to see a relationship based story with a witty, charming, fast-talking hero(ine)!

Sony has actually developed a way to play a number of PS3 and PS4 games on PC. I don't know how it works but I did seen Uncharted listed among the games that are playable. Playstation Now. The netflix of games. It streams a game from a server somewhere onto your computer so you can play it. Streaming isn't the only option; they've released a native PS4 version (upscaled) of the first 3 games. (The ... something ... 'Collection') As to KB/M on the PS4: A USB KB works in the main interface, which is useful when you need to enter text in any of the included 'apps' (the web browser, youtube, etc.) However, back when I had a PS4, I couldn't get it to recognize a mouse at all. In games, I think it's up to the developer to implement KB/M controls; but they just don't do it. If I still had a PS4, I think I'd be more interested in getting The Last of Us II, rather than Uncharted 1-3. LoU got some unreasonably high praise, which might be a turn-off for people who are allergic to BS hype; but it was a good game. To me, the realization of the environments made up for the somewhat dull cover-shooter gameplay.

That was one of the best games of the last console generation. As for the OP... I think you're projecting your love of UC and in particular Nathan Drake onto ME.
