I really don't care about which race of alien... I'm all about the personality of that character. Are they/their story arc/their romance interesting? The way that character looks doesn't matter so much. After all, I'm not the one dating them - my character is. And since it's not like I'm going to be sleeping with them in real life, the logistics of sex are pretty irrelevant. Unless it's mentioned in the game, in which case... who didn't love that doctor-patient conversation with Mordin regarding Garrus? If anything, that was a hilarious bonus  Although, I've only ever romanced male game characters, so I suppose my personal preference does play a part in that regard. But, to be fair, none of the female characters I really love (Tali/Miranda in ME or Morrigan/Cass in DA) are ever bi or gay so there's that. That said, I picked quarian. Male quarian specifically, to switch things up. I've always liked their history and gypsy culture and techie-ness, and most of them have cool accents and their suits are pretty. Also, Kal'Reegar was awesome. I actually liked Veetor a lot too. |

Human or Turian. I sincerely hope that a female Turian will be a romance option in Andromeda. But then I will have a hella hard time deciding between Cora and the Turian. But then I can just go by personality. But a Turian would be fucking exotic.
I'm still pissed that Nyreen Kandros wasn't a romance option in ME3.

Any salarian who can sing Gilbert and Sullivan to me will win my heart every time! Had Mordin been a LI option I think it could have been a real hoot of a good time. Just imagine FemShep talking with Mordin (as an LI) and the emotional goodbye conversation when he decides to release the genophage cure and sacrifice himself; I think BW missed a major opportunity with Mordin. Still... I'm a sucker for a faithful, cuddly, and strategically amorous human male stud; call me a racist, I guess, but I'm really picky when it comes to choosing the one who wins my heart in the game. I take my ME romance choices seriously because I project myself into my character's choices. If my only option is a Kaiden knock-off then I'll consider an alien hunk, but he better be impressive. Maybe Garrus' brother made the trip and he can light my fire! Lol I hope we'll be amazed at the Andromedan LI opportunities!
