Can't lie Female turians are not attractive but I'm sure she'll have a good VO and be a good character. To be honest, I find them weirdly attractive. And thats coming from a guy who has never romanced anything other than humans in Bioware games. I might make an exception this time..... (if it is possible to romance her) I hear ya I only really romance humans also for the most part. I romanced Garrus as a female shep only though so I feel like she'll be on that level a really good character.

Oh man... Sorry, but I like the original much better, well, except for the hair and the convex irises. In the first picture she looks like a real person while the, uh, "improvement" looks like a jawless, toothpick-necked, makeup-wearing cartoon. I was inclined to prefer #2, but then I realized it wasn't the face in #1 that was the issue, it was the eyes. Those flat, staring, horrifying, soulless eyes. O_O They make the whole thing look unnatural, even though the facial structure actually looks realistic. That said, I've seen faces that do look like the one in #2, too. It's definitely idealized, but I wouldn't call it cartoony or unrealistic. Except that neck. What the hell. Also, I wonder if they've de-boobed the female turians? There is no reason for them to have boobs. They're frickin' reptile birds.

They could always say that they're fat deposits, like a camel's humps. I mean, the Asari, the Twileks, or Orion Slave Girls aren't mammals either, but they all have very nice 'humps', you know. Do we know if Salarian females look any different from the males? Have we met any female Salarians?

We saw two Salerian females in the trilogy, and both didn't seem to have breasts.

Was is stated somewhere that asari aren't mammals? No, but I think it's pretty safe to say that an organism that's not part of Earth's evolutionary history shouldn't be described using Earth's biological categories. On the other hand Turians are sometimes referred to as bird-like, the Krogan are reptile-like, and the Salarians are amphibian-like (certainly the designers took those as their inspiration); so I guess Asari could be called 'mammal-like', though we don't know if they suckle their young, grow the embryo in their wombs, etc. They magically look like women; but has convergent evolution seen to it that they also function like women? Given their magical reproductive systems, they should be wholly different.

Given their magical reproductive systems, they should be wholly different. I agree that they're not exactly the same, but they should be considered mammal like, considering the other species being compared to species on Earth. I don't think they suckle their young because of Okeer's statement on humans doing it, it seems implied they're the only specie doing it.

I wasn't sure of this, but Peebees' headfolds look slightly different from the Asari headfolds from ME1 and ME2? (also not totaly sure about the ME3 character model, but that's because the lighting and shading also messed up their appearance) Somehow the headfolds seem wider and more flat, and the ridge in the middle became less pronounced. From what I (rather strongly) recall, the cut-through used to show two mirroring 60 degree arcs, slightly placed apart but not so far that the two arcs could be filled to a full circle, and then a round ridge on top. And the arc was a very important theme throughout ME1 design, returning in almost EVERY asset in game, from character design through architecture to weapon design. It would really be a big shame if the headfolds were flattened and "organic-ated" just to save a couple of polys or whatever. The consistently recurring arc-theme, as subtle as it was, was really something that gave the previous Mass Effect games their own recognizable style.

The updated ones for Scott and Sara look really good. Really like that armor, reminds me of an upgraded/better looking version of the explorer armor from ME1.

Ikr? Nothing will be the same after that Sara reveal ... nothing. I'll have this thousand-yard-stare on my face till the end of my days. A man isn't supposed to see things like that. I'm already a broken man. It's too late now. Too late....

What's the difference between these and previous versions? It's a different focal length. But people will ignore this and insist Scott is a "manlet". edit. forgot gull body. Anyway, it's not about Scott being short, but BioWare being unable to make him more proportional. "Manlet" was just internet mocking.
