(on Ryder siblings) Odd to have thigh armour but no plate for the belly. And usually armour for thight hangs from the hips, having it strapped to the leg must be uncomfortable when running. Otherwise looks good.

here's some more comparisons They changed lighting and camera angle, and it is such a huge difference! Much better now (Scott's arms are still too short though )

There is still a problem with the eyes though, there hypnotising like there is nothing behind them. I might try to give Sara if possible slightly darker eyes to try to counter that creepy No Soul effect going on. The eyes are the only thing that bugs me about their appearance. I'm guessing in the game the eyes will look like in DAI. Here is a thing I just made to explain: A --basic eyeball shape without color B--Same thing colored C--Same thing with a rudimentary eyelid D and E--what it looks like with a very light and a very dark color F and G--what it looks like with textures In ME1 and ME2 eyes were like in C1, D1, and E1. Nice. Plain, yes, but with a lot of depth because the irises were shaped correctly. In ME3 we had flat, dead eyes like C2, D2, and E2 (mods made them look more like F2 and G2). In DAI we still had dead eyes but they added a texture to them so we had something like F2 and G2. I much prefer correctly shaped but plain irises without texture to hyper realistic texture on an unnatural iris shape.

As well as the iris' not being concave, it also has a lot to do with the lids. The problem BioWare have with eyes lies predominantly with them not realising that in the average resting face you cannot see all the way to the top of the iris (in fact, oftentimes a tiny fraction of the pupil is hidden by the upper lid as well), and there is generally some shadowing at the top of the eye where the light can't hit it because of the eyelid above. The amount of iris we see above the pupil is a cue as to a person's emotional status. Take Sera: Those fucking eyes. She looks like a psychopath or drug addict because of the amount of iris visible at the top. This is why I try to only take pictures of Sera when she has battle-face on or is talking, because her brow furrows and her eyelids generally otherwise animate to narrow. This is the problem with the models for Sara et al in MEA. It's less prominent now they've amended it in the character kits at least, but certainly Cora still suffers from it to a larger extent than any of the others. I'm playing through ME3 at the moment, and the lack of animation of the eyelids is painful. In a general non-film cutscene conversation, Shepard's eyelids rarely move at all, other than to blink. This is especially jarring when Shepard looks down - even a little, exposing a sea of white sclera above the iris as the eyeball tracks the person Shep is speaking to but the rest of the face anatomy doesn't follow suit. In DAI, I always, always ensure my Inquisitor has a dark eye colour. This helps minimise the effect as much as possible, because you don't always notice the amount of iris visible above the pupil. But of course, it would be better if a) BioWare modelled the lid a little lower to begin with; ensured the lids animate naturally; and c) added appropriate shading to the top of the visible eye. We might be able to mitigate the worst of the worst with our pathfinder, but we won't have any control over the npcs, and I foresee many an awkward conversation ahead.

Cora eyes during some briefting video when she turned and looked at the camera from an angle, I swear she had the eyes of a psychotic hamster on crack. I feel less alone now that someone notice how terrifying Cora eyes can be. Hopefully in game the lightning will be different and makes things less creepy or I'll get used to it after a few hours.

Oh man... Sorry, but I like the original much better, well, except for the hair and the convex irises. In the first picture she looks like a real person while the, uh, "improvement" looks like a jawless, toothpick-necked, makeup-wearing cartoon. She looks like a person with down syndrome on the left. On the right she looks like a normal person. A pretty person with all her chromosomes in tact.
