Everything about Mass Effect Andromeda is sounding great to me currently! The fact that we're exploring this brand new galaxy, meeting new characters, and revamped action... But there's one thing I've heard of that is kind of bothering me.
So in the game, we are playing one of twin siblings. (Cool!)
Apparently, we can customize both of them (Sweet!)
And regardless of who you choose, your sibling's in the game (Awesome!)
But he's not a squadmate (Uh....)
Yeah, I kind of wish Bioware found a way to have both siblings in the same squad. I guess the main reason for not doing that would be because it would make replaying as the other sibling difficult with a preconceived personality, but I wish we could have some more interaction with the other sibling.
I like to imagine Sara and Scott have this sibling rivalry, where Scott's the idiot gung-ho brother and Sara's the smart, calmer sister. It would have been fun to see, but sadly it seems are interactions might be limited to holographic chatting.
Oh well.

I've still got a bit of hope that having your sibling as a squad mate is still a possibility (even if only temporarily), whether in this game or future sequels.

Thinking of flipping the script a little bit for Andromeda.

Ah! I agree, I was really looking forward to that sibling banter. Maybe we'll get the sibling briefly at the start or for specific missions?

It's possible that the sibling will have their own squad and mission seperate from your own. Still plenty of room for sibling rivalry!

There are going to be interactions with your sibling, but I got the impression that they were optional. I would love to see the unplayed sibling have their own squad, but even if they do, they wouldn't be a Pathfinder since there's only one per species. They could do other things, though. Help settlements with security issues including wildlife extermination like those Space Bears.
I can see the sibs having a bit of rivalry but at the same time be close to each other and protective. Like "I'm the only one allowed to pic on my brother/sister" type thing.
My siblings are the opposite of the OP in my head. Scott, the calm, thoughtful quiet one and Sara more of an impulsive sort.

I have always tended to play my female characters as the practically minded, military oriented, badasses whereas my men have always been starry eyed idealists. Thinking of flipping the script a little bit for Andromeda. yeah I tend to play my females as more caring about the world around them they want the best for their friends and family, and I think my first Sara will likely be like this as well. They're not afraid of a fight but they generally only fight when they have to. My female characters in generqal prefer to make friends and work with others to resolve a crisis. Generally if I'm playing a more aggressive rough/renegade type character to use the old ME term I usually do that with my male characters as it tends to fit them more. I've never really played a renegade female in the trilogy. I've thought about it a few times but I've just not done it. I probably will eventually though just to say I have.

I'm not trying to stereotype, it's just that when I read their bios on the Andromeda Initiative briefing, it just naturally came to me that Scott would be more of a gung-ho person and Sara be the smart one because Scott served solely for the military while Sara was support for a science team.

Personally, I am hoping we will have a situation like in ME2, where we got to temporarily play AS Joker. Maybe during a mission, we will have to play as the sibling to complete an objective that will help our character.

Instead of having the sibling being injured or unable to join missions for whatever reason.
Having them be an oracle type character (think batman) would be cool if SAM wasn't a thing. So, since SAM is a thing... I think it might be kinda cool to have the sibling not be unable to go on missions, but instead go on their own missions with their own team. Have them basically competing against you. Then end up having to grudgingly work together later on.
Idk. lol
But I wouldn't want them as a squadmate I don't think.
