I am living in a hotel until May while I attend a logistics school for the Army. We have internet access both wifi and ethernet. To access this, when I use my phone for wifi in the room or my PC for wifi/ethernet, it takes me to the hotel main page and I have to click "Yes" that I agree to terms and service and from there I am free to use the net.
With consoles, I dont have that ability to goto the hotel homepage and "click yes". So essentially, I am locked out of using the internet on my PS4 and Xbox One.
I want to replay the trilogy and this weekend I will be driving home a few hours away to purchase all the trilogy DLC and download/install the DLC on the Xbox One so when I come back to the hotel, it would already be on the HD for me to access.
With that being said, will that work? Or do I literally ALWAYS have to be online to play DLC like The Shadow Broker or The Citadel? Despite it already being on my HD.
Thanks and I welcome your input.

You don't need to be connected to Xbox Live to play the DLC if it's already been installed on your hard drive, so you should be good.

Yes, you'll be able to play the DLC offline once it's installed on your hard drive. Your game will also save to the hard drive and back up to the cloud whenever you go back online.

Thanks for the replies.
I ask cause I heard some stories from the PC side about not being able to access DLC if they are not connected to Origin or Steam. Just wanted to know if that was the same for consoles as well.

As long as you start the game offline or save it to the hard drive first I think so, but if you start a New Game whilst your Online and use the Cloud storage you won't be able to access that game Career/ Save if you go offline later.

I'll have to take your word on that. I don't have a game on the Xbox One that hasn't been started while offline. I just know that I do have full access to all the DLC while playing offline and that the game does update to the cloud automatically if I happen to put the box back online. I can't play multiplayer with my internet here anyways (too slow), so I'm usually disconnected from the internet unless I'm wanting to update them or check out the marketplace and such.

Yeah it happened to me a couple of months ago when it became available for backwards compatibility and I got nostalgic and did a Trilogy run. Basically, because I couldn't access my Xbox 360 Saves on the XOne , I had to start a new Career and because I had to use the Cloud Storage instead of my Hard Drive I couldn't play offline due to the saves being stored there. I had a real hassle with the ME2 DLC's too as I seem to remember.
