Do you want a huge, epic battle against the Kett army, or would you rather have a peaceful dialogue filled diplomatic mission. Do you want a murder mystery in a bustling city, or do you want to explore some creepy, decrepit ruins? Post any of your cool ideas here .

All of the above sounds nice?
Honestly I don't know but as long as it is a personally, deeply, character driven narrative. So kind of what BioWare is known for but for more of that, a personal, gritty, story told on the back drop of...well cluster shaping events. I wish they had brought back the idea from DA 2 where you could have more then one companion quest, like 3 of them in the entire game, but they aren't. And there is a lot of indications we will get that kind of game.

More variety in mission types the better. Hopefully no two missions will feel the same.

Would be nice if can finish some missions on different ways.
Frontal attack or sneaking in and Sabotage the defense guns, so that they shoot on the villians. Or overload the reactor of a base to defeat the enemy. Only Shooting, biotic or tec is boring after some time.
Too bad that the Nomad has no guns. A Maschine gun Tower, drive to some of the big Gorillas we seen in the Trailer, shoot on them, let them chase you, and you drive directly to the enemy base, give full Speed and watching from distance how the Gorillas attack your enemies.
Maybe some not to difficult riddles like the small energy pipe riddle in ME2. Shouldn´t be something important to the main quest, but a riddle that opens a door to a room with some nice goodies.....
Sneaking don´t have to be end in death directly. How about seak in, place some Information in a enemy base and sneak out. The enemy (Kett) attack a raider base for you or with some of thuch missions, there will be a civil war at the Kett.
So many possibilities.....

I wish we could have different approaches to different missions, instead of the usual: arrive in a place, kill everyone there, proceed to the next area. Something akin to some of the loyalty missions of ME2. That's what made that game great! Anything that doesn't make the game repetitive! Each mission has to be different so we can show our skills as pathfinder!

I hope they put that Metroid-scanner to good use -- not just putting an obvious highlight on obvious quest items, which is what such devices/skills have hitherto been used for (in the inadvisable-to-mention Wiedźmin 3, the Batman games, the Assassin's Creed games, and others).
Let us think a little bit about the environment, and not just SPOT THE RED GLOWY THING with MAGICAL VISION.
Also, I hope the open-world design doesn't imply a Ubisoft-style collect-a-thon in otherwise empty environments. Though at least in Assassin's Creed games, the environments are so well realized that while looking about the place for meaningless collectibles you at least get to appreciate the architecture -- but then again, you can't get away with empty environments when the environments themselves aren't as interesting as 1-to-1 models of the Notre Dame, the Westminster Abby, or slightly shrunk yet still authentic looking models of the Colosseum, the Hagia Sophia, the Duomo, and so on.

I would like to see one or two stealth missions. Like others have already said, missions with multiple choice outcomes, so you're not following a linear path. You can choose how to approach it, complete it, and any effect it will have on other things.

I'd love to see more of that in Andromeda. Maybe a Kasumi like mission as well where you go undercover to look for something. I kind of enjoyed that and they dug it out again for the Citadel DLC again which was cool as well.

I don't know, but I would like the end mission (or some other major mission) to be really intense, dramatic and brutal. Not necessarily bloody and gory. But I'd like my Ryder to his backside handed to him, in at least one mission. Kind of like Haven in DAI or ME3 when running to the Relay. To show that our Ryder is human, and not at all perfect. Maybe get a little banged up in the process, i.e. a bloody nose or temporary bruise or something. Which will allow us to see them overcome a great obstacle. Making the story a little more sad/tense. And Ryder double the awesome!
I remember seeing Shepard sit up, all bruised and battered in ME3- it really hit me in the feelz!

I really like stealth-based missions, or rather missions that greatly advocate stealthy game play. I love missions where you have to think how to stay undetected, carefully plan several steps ahead, use good timing and assassinate guards with silenced weapons without being detected which would make the whole station go on a lockdown.
Like say, infiltrate an enemy space station that is so heavily guarded a heads-on approach would be a suicide trip, instead you sneak into the base, eavesdrop on the guards and hack computers to learn how to disable cameras, you take out the power control which makes the whole station go dark. You switch to night vision and using the darkness and confusion to your advantage you make short work of the guards on your way to the mainframe. Once the computer is dealt with the security systems are down, time to let your squad move in, you reunite with them and then you complete the objective with the help of your heavily armed squad mates.
I enjoy firefights and open battle, but a stealth based sneaky mission here and there would be very welcome to mix things up bit. Afterall, variety is the spice of life.

Something akin to Crysis 1 2 3 action bubbles
You can take the missions and the individual action bubbles as you like and use the powers you have (and in 3 the specialized upgrades) as you want and do as you please without feeling like you are being punished for taking a specific route.

I like the ones where I'm captured and have to make a prison break. There's one in Dragon Age Awakening where you are completly stripped of armor and weapons and then have to fight with the scraps that you find on your way. I absolutely loved the first part of the Citadel DLC, where you have only one pistol and your abilities.

I'd like one like the suicide mission in ME2 minus the suicide part. Just assigning your squad to different places. I love strategies! Also that following the Angaran blood trail one looks like a whodunit mission and I hope we get a few more like that too!

I personally want a hard decision in a mission where I'm forced to make a choice that either helps the Andromeda expedition greatly at the cost of something for the native species or weakening the Andromeda expedition in order to ensure the native species are ok. For example harvesting a valuable resource from a world at the cost instability to a species world or stealing another species experimental research tech, etc.

I would definitely appreciate a good balance of all the above.
As someone said earlier , I don't want to feel I am doing the same side mission over and over or exploring the same vault over and over. (Leave that to the Multiplayer which I am sure I will enjoy) Also I 'd like the "fetch" quests to be a bit more complex, not simply go to point A and bring object x to person/point B.
Also ,please for the love of the Goddess ,no vast beautiful planets full of emptiness. Inquisition is one of my favourite games but at some point I got tired. So tired that when I started the DLCs recently -after managing to stay away from Tresspasser spoilers for more than a year- , I started playing JoH and I got so bored I skipped it and The Descent just to go play Tresspasser to see how the story ends.
