Mass Effect Hologram Version of Gwent Idea

I came up with this simple idea when reading the minigame thread and wanted to get more people's input and further elaborate.

If you do not know of the Gwent card game in Witcher 3, it was a pretty awesome and simple card game where two players duel placing cards in one of the three spots on the "battlefield" using their own custom strategy based on their deck build.  The person with more points accumulated from the cards wins.  The wiki is listed below:

I am not trying to promote Gwent or the Witcher 3, but I thought a derivative of this could fit in the Mass Effect Universe.  In the Witcher, you have to collect, find, purchase, or win new Cards to build the ultimate deck.  The five decks include various characters, races, beasts, elements, leaders, etc.  I was thinking that Mass Effect could "holocards" or "holodecks".  You would lay down or insert a "holocard" on a hologram board, and that character, monster, alien, weather effect, buff, etc would appear in 3D form.  The hologram idea came from that classic Star Wars Scene shown below:


There could obviously be changes made to make the mini game more unique (which I would like to hear your ideas), but the main appeal to this for me is the collecting aspect to build an ultimate set.  And then taking my collection and earning a ton of "credits" from the tournaments.  Would be cool to play against companions on the Tempest, at outposts against various npcs, and at the bar or other social spaces on the Nexus.  

It's definitely too late to get this in the vanilla game of ME: Andromeda, but it would be cool to have it added in the base game and expansions as dlc content.
