Out of the Legendaries, I like Bastion, Orissa, Brigitte, and Symmetra.
But yeah it has now been over a year since D.Va got an event skin. I hope she gets a bunch later this year during the Summer, Halloween, and Winter events to make up for it.

Brigitte got nerfed, still think Shield Bash needs it's cooldown increased by at least another second.
For the number of heroes it fucks over and how easy it is to use, 6 seconds is still too short.

Ugh, being a support main can be so frustrating sometimes... I go to QP to have some fun, not be annoyed by whiny teammates! We had one of those stupid team compositions you often have in QP, so I decided to go Moira to practice her (and my friend was playing D.VA, and she always needs lots of heals). The Pharah starts to become angry, hitting me and shaking her head and spamming "I need healing", obviously demanding me to go Mercy (I've seen this behavior so many times). I ended up picking every single healer except Mercy, and they kept spamming for heals the whole first round. It annoyed me to the point where I just went Mei. Then they and their other dps-friend just left the game.
Rule number one - if you want a healer, do not annoy your one and only support. I might have switched to Mercy voluntarily later, but they made me very adamant not to with their stupid behavior.

So against my better judgement and because a friend kept bugging me to get it... I bought Overwatch after playing sunday morning for the free weekend. And, well...
1. It's more fun than I thought it would be.
2. Man, do I suck at it.
3. Skins still make no sense because it's a FPS.
4. My favorites aesthetically are Mercy, Symmetra, Zenyatta, and Widowmaker. I, however, do the best with Bastion, D.Va, and Pharah.
5. No one likes to pick tank in ANY game, I see Overwatch is no exception. lol ... I would tank except I don't really like any of the characters in that role. Reinhardt is ok.
6. Screw Tracer
OH and boy is this community toxic af in-game. I have started muting everyone from the start of the match because people will trash talk each other for stupid reasons AND not go for the objective at all.
That's first impressions from 2 nights playing lol

Firstly, I just want to say that I come from playing Smite and my main there is Aphrodite (strong healing on single teammate support) thus: Mercy is one of my most played characters at this point, but I can't really see myself sticking with her because she has no defense for herself. Whereas most supports I like to use in other games, mainly smite, have some sort of defensive mechanism. Aphro has a kiss that stuns the enemy for a couple seconds which allows me to run or a teammate to show up to help, Ra has a blind that confuses the enemy as to where I am, etc. Mercy has none of this, when someone attacks her, she dies. Can't even heal herself. Which is a shame, cause I do like playing support. Tried ana and don't really like her, symmetra doesn't heal. Anyone who only plays DPS and whines for people to pick the other classes is a dillweed. Sometimes, if you want a tank or healer you need to suck it up and pick one yourself. sgtreed24 I totally get that, although I still think it's a good idea to stick with her to start with if you feel you haven't gotten a firm grip on the game-play. Ana is my second main, but she's so underpowered currently that I've basically shelved her. I think Moira might be a good suit for you, she's my new go-to healer and she heals a lot and can also defend herself or evade her attacker when necessary. Brigitte is also good fun, although personally I think she can be situational. With Mercy the fun mostly lies in using her Guardian Angel to evade and juke her attackers, and switch to her gun when pressed. And yes, people can be truly assholes in this game. Got a message yesterday after a game playing support, and immediately tensed up expecting to get a whole can of abuse hurled over me, but was fortunate that the message was nice instead - however, it does speak volumes my instinctual reaction was "this is going to be bad".

QuizzyBunnyWell, here's the kicker, maybe this is weird or dumb, but I can't play characters I don't think look cool or like a badass. lol Moira, ability wise, seems like she'd be a great support, but I don't like her look so I can't play her. EDIT: Oh, and I have tried Brigitte, but she feels more like a tank than a support.

sgtreed24 Hey, I don't judge, you play what you feel suits your style! I really love Symmetra myself, but she's getting a complete rework soon so everything about her will be changed in terms of her weapon and abilities. I'm guessing that if you do well with D.VA and Bastion you would probably do pretty well with Soldier and Zarya too, but I understand if they are not your style (Zarya can be an absolute beast when played well though). I keep trying to learn Pharah, but I'm a hot mess whenever I try to play her.

That's first impressions from 2 nights playing lol It is something you'll have to endure sadly. Thankfully Blizzard did implement some features to tone the toxicity like the report function and the avoid teammate. However I feel like it's not enough and Blizzard needs to create more community style things like a clan system so people won't be fiddling in the dark playing with strangers. |
