Both my Sheps are on the Normandy now.
In some situations, the dialogue makes better sense with a Renshep, but then in others Renshep is just too insane to be considered anything but a loose cannon, let alone Spectre material. Still, he's a hoot.

When I go for that option, I usually wait until after I'm in an actual relationship. I take my LI along when I first talk with Shaira (and they will interject with a jealous comment) and then I take my LI back to the ship and bring either Garrus and Wrex (BroShep - guys night out) or Ashley and Tali (FemShep - girls night out). It just all feels more like Shep is a habitual cheat and I can let it all play out with ramifications right through to the end of the Trilogy.

Everyone gets the option, but the prompt dialogue isn't clear at all as to where it's leading. It's easy to assume that Shepard just wants more money. It's the bottom right option "That's it?"

Once I figured out which options did what, I always pick the middle one so I get the trinket for Eletania.

Udina: Remember, you were a human long before you were a Spectre. Me: What the hell is that supposed to mean yer speaking nonsense. Udina is an annoying blowhard more often than not. His obnoxious posturing in front of the Council never works and actually makes me more sympathetic to them even when they're being stubborn about something.

Nothing concrete in the game beyond the one complaint if you start the Sha'ira quest after having shown interest in either Ashley, Kaidan, or Liara (and if you bring them along when you start the quest). I use it to roleplay a personality type; and that sort of Shepard will also cheat later on in the game and, possibly be totally unrepentant about it, which, in turn, may lead to dire consequence (for example, having to shoot a former LI or having a current one die in his arms).

Are you doing two PTs at the same time? Yes. Because I want to immediately see the difference between Renshep and Parashep. Also, things like finding the Keepers again are easy and ten times faster. On top of all that, not certain I'll ever play ME1 again, so now I'll be used to the controls entirely for both PTs, as well have an understanding of skill trees. I think both the skill trees and the fighting mechanics change in the next two games. So I play Parashep on Normal to a certain plot point. Then load up Renshep on Hard and play to the same plot point. Then Switch. This is how I'm noticed a lot of Top Right and Middle Right Dialogues are exactly the same, because I still have a clear memory of what I said last time as PArashep. There was even two lines of dialogue where literally all three Right lines were the same, which....why would they do that?

they will interject with a jealous comment) Aw man, missed opportunity for my asshole hypsersexual shep. My most satisfying playthroughs of ME1 (the whole Trilogy actually) have been with characters that have wound up being very evenly split on paragon and renegade points. I can see why. Also, I look at the morality guide when I play Renshep (not Parashep, since I'm playing her total blind for ME1) and see that sometimes you can come out with points in both. It's easy to assume that Shepard just wants more money. It's the bottom right option "That's it?" Actually, I thought that I'd get more money AND maybe imply he wanted to bang her. I was actually surprised when he did get to bang her. but then I didn't get more money, which is what I actually wanted

There was even two lines of dialogue where literally all three Right lines were the same, which....why would they do that? That's also a question I've asked before on the old BSN. The replies I got back from some serious RPer's is that it felt different to them when they were able to select from some different options even thought the same line was said. They said they prefered it to the autodialogue in ME3. Personally, I was for the ME3 streamlined version - same result but quicker to play. That's when I was told I was a "casual gamer" (i.e. I wasn't a serious RP'er).

If so, that would be why it's the same. There are several places in ME1 where they've appeared to give you the three options, but each one results in Shepard saying the exact same line. There is a Youtube video about it (link in spoiler tag below):

@upagain I was expecially annoyed about the "I won't waste my breath" line. I intentionally chose the middle neutral "no" because I thought Top Right and Top Bottom would sound rude, and my Parashep saw no reason to A. Continue the argument B. Alienate the council with snide remarks. So I'm like, A simple No is perfect. Then she childlishly says she won't waste her breath

I can kinda agree with this. I noticed that my mental tone, affected by the text option, added a layer to the dialogue line on my RenShep version. My mind was prepped for angry, I felt angrier, and then the same line came out of their mouth, but my brain told me it was said angrier. Nifty trick, but still cheap.

To me, it just felt like a wasted click, slowing the game down for no good reason. I don't need Shepard to sound angrier to RP that he/she is angrier.
