So personally, I loved the Mass Effect 1 Loading screens as elevators. Still my favorite to this day out of any video game. It made the game seem more immersive since it never broke you away from your character.
The loading screens in 2 and 3 were meh except the ones showing the Normandy flying through space. But people would disagree.
What loading screens would you want/design if you could choose? You can use examples from other games if you think they did a better job. One example I like is Skyrim/Fallout 4's with codex style information and the ability to rotate 3d models.

they could black out the screen and play some tracks from megadeth, preferably post dystopia. that would be great.

I would much rather have a lot of in-engine elevator sequences that mask loadings like in ME1 with occasional variying banter or radio messages than I would look at the same repeat load screens that were in ME2 and ME3.
I also am a big fan of games that are somewhat well paced and manage that without breaking up the timeline with cinematic skips and fade to blacks, and in my opinion ME1 was well paced enough in the way it was so I would like that ideally or have something like it but improve upon it.
I think there is one particular scene in ME1 that had a really bad time-jump that should not exist in a video-game and DA:I had an alarming number of lazy time-skips that sometimes even skipped over what felt like should've been entire gameplay sequences just going from one end of the partiuclar suplot to the next. I'm of course talking about launching the Geth Consensus mission in ME3 and in DA:I we're talking In Your Heart Shall Burn, Siege of Adamant, Doom Upon All The World and probably even more.
ME1 was fucking tight. You land on the Citadel and see the Normandy docking. You go back to gameplay and exit the ship manually. You wanna drop on a planet or do Virmire or Ilos and you see the Normandy fly in after the FTL traveling as it drops the Mako and bam, right into gameplay with no cheap time-skips. It's very crucial they don't skip over sequences that include combat or traversing a unique environment IMO. In the Geth Consensus you land with the Shuttle but then when it fades to black and back in they're holding up guns and Shepard reloads in what looks like a Geth Dreadnought like level and it implies they just played through an entire combat segment off-screen and that's not right. In the In Your Heart Shall Burn quest the entire start is about going up the mountain to the giant world-swallowing rift that spits out demons all the time and what happens? We get a fucking time-skip and we just get straight to the top of the mountain and close it like it's no sweat. Bad pacing and bad use of transitions.
Loading screens are fine when you take transports or between being on a ship and landing but it's even better if the loading screens or the in-game actions that act instead of loadings create proper transitions. As long as that's in place it's fine, but I'll have to say again that i think the elevators in ME1 are superior to the repeat loading screens in ME2 and ME3 but that said I liked ME2's load screens ok and same with ME3 except on PC it always cuts out right as the camera cuts to a new location that you never get to see on the Citadel.
The reason I really don't like the actual loadings in 2 and 3 is because I think on 1080p or more those pixelated 720p pre-renders look absolutely terrible not to mention their 30fps frame cap. It also goes further when certain sequnces like the Reaper fight on Tuchanka is half pre-rendered but only 720p30fps matched with 1080p60fps in-game cinematics on pc, but that's a tangent for another topic.

Doesn't really matter to me now that I play mostly on PC. On console they were always annoying, but on PC they load pretty fast. I guess I would choose ME3 > ME2 > ME1 as far a loading screens.

I agree, definitely the elevator. An integral and enjoyable part of ME1. Gave nods to your actions and stage in the story with the news reports, and fantastic chance for companion banter. In Andromeda I don't think we'll encounter many elevators.. still, one or two would be a nice touch.

The elevator is so painful obvious. So 2007. It looks like there's almost no loading screen, at least in the ship and whatnot. Should be something when going off-ship, but I am hoping it's a drop cinematic exclusive to such planet.

I agree about seeing the Normandy dock, the Mako drop, etc, but ME1 still had flaws in that regard. For example, there was nothing showing how the Mako actually gets back into the Normandy (this question kinda bugs me), or how the squad gets in and out of it.

The problem with the ME1 elevators was that they were far slower than a loadscreen would have been. I'll take a 5-second loadscreen over a 30-second elevator ride anytime.

specifically elevator loading screens? no.
but loading screens that aren't just screens with irrelevant pictures on them, yes. I'd like to still see my character and squad like in ME1 though. Not sure how you could do that... without an elevator. But, ya know.

And PS4 Pro is no pc but I doubt I'll have much trouble with the wait time. I like it more for the immersion and creativity. I'm hoping there will be a pressure chamber like in ME1 before getting off the tempest or to the Nomad for that added effect. If anything, I hope the load screen when going from the tempest to a planet surface will be a cutscene of the crew gearing up and loading into the Nomad then driving out of the bay. I don't think anyone expects the loading to be too long, but that extra layer of immersion even if brief would be nice.

Cut scene showing the Nomad driving back into the tempest. The only place I really see elevators being a thing is on the Nexus.

I think it would be cool to see one for nostalgia, but I personally prefer loading screens as it gives me an excuse to stretch my arms, get a drink, etc.

I want every loading screen to be filled with Asari strippers going wild. There's an elevator somewhere? Guess what, it's filled with Asari strippers. Decontamination before entering/exiting ship? Somehow Asari strippers are also being part of the process. Your totally-not-Mako is dropped from Tempest? Asari strippers flashing boobs on top of it.
Asari strippers should be the core of Andromeda initiative.

I won't mind seeing some, as long as they are not too frequent & don't take forever. Loading screens are annoying in general, no matter how creative they are (yes, I'm looking at you, DeusEx:MD).

Something different. Skyrim had loading screens where you could rotate stuff, and read some tips. Elevators were alright with the squad banter and news broadcasts but we can have the news broadcasts while roaming in certain parts of the Tempest/Nexus and the squad banter...everywhere else. Would like for them to be infrequent though no matter what.

Personally, I really liked the loading screens from the witcher 3 (yes, another W3 reference, boohoo). It's nice having a recap of the last major event of the story. BUT! I'd make one addition: If you press start during the story recap (because you've heard it 10 times before and are bored with it), the loading screen switches to a mini space (reaper?) invader minigame with the not-normandy. It autosaves when done loading and can be resumed anytime when a new loading screen appears.

There's going to be some loading screens as such is unavoidable. I just hope it's better than DAI's...in principle a good idea that has world and gameplay info you can scroll through...but the going black after 2 seconds was just annoying as hell (on PC anyways). And that they couldn't be bothered to fix it after the fact is just one of the reasons I've become somewhat disillusioned with Bioware games of late.
