Has it been confirmed that L2/R2 will be the shooting controls?

Better question is what will the sprint button be? In the past, it was assigned to the "X"button. Now the "X" button is for the jet pack. I'm hoping they went with the L3 option so we can control the camera this time while sprinting.

In terms of combat and movement fluidity, it makes sense. The transition from sprinting to jumping with the jetpack is seamless if I can sprint using my left thumb stick button (L3) and press (X) without letting off the sprint button immediately. The footage of the Nomad shows that (X) is boost up like the jet pack and (Square) is boost forward/sprint when driving. I'm hoping the (square) button isn't also used to sprint while on foot. It would be nice if one of the Bioware youtubers or someone in the forum with access to the devs (Ian Frazier) could get clarification.

I play on PC with a Steelseries Stratus XL. Its pretty hit or miss, honestly. I was trying to sprint in BF1 (which is done with L3) and not only is the L3 hard to hold down with this controller, but with BF1 at least, I have to sprint squarely ahead - any deviation from center and sprint gets interrupted. Really hoping for better luck with MEA. Its a great controller hardware wise and feels great in hands, but the software sucks something fierce. It took me about 10 hours of playing DA:I for me to get a handle on how to prevent misscliks for the triggers that are really really touchy and I still mess up sometimes. Might have to get a different controller. But I have tasted the controller for PC and I am not going back to M&K.

I could see them having a ME3 style control option in play if people wished to use it?

You could give the ps4 controller a shot via bluetooth or usb since it's PC compatible. I freaking love mine and their pretty inexpensive

The controls will be amazing on the console controller. It's amazing to aim with analogue sticks, much better than using a mouse. Consoles offer the perfect gaming experience, not least because of how amazing those controllers are. Mass effect 3 had amazing controls, the game makers did a marvellous job with mapping the control buttons so i have faith that they will do a perfect job once again. Will be really exciting to play this game at 20 frames per second using analogue sticks to aim.

I think there are better software options available now but it still works fine for me.

I've been using it for about 3 years without any issues. Maybe I just got lucky. I was thinking about switching to SCP but I kinda don't want to mess with something if it ain't broke.

I've been going back and forth to play Mass Effect on Ps3 and using my ps4 pro. It is easy to tell the difference.

When you invest in a pc and you're ready to go ahead and play games, it's always best to use a controller because a controller is so much better than a mouse. It's better for aiming, it's much more fun to use and offers a vastly superior gaming experience. Using a mouse to aim ruins the gaming experience because it's clunky and makes aiming very difficult and annoying, whereas analogue sticks are very intuitive and easy to use and really improve the gaming experience. Always a great idea to throw away the mouse and use a controller on pc.

Aiming is not required, this is not COD, I will use the controller cause the keyboard sucks big time at driving vehicles and at walking-running around with your character.

The PS4 controller is just awful, my thumbs hurt about half an hour of use, having to not let go of the trigger to press X would be much better, though.
