I would think so. If something went sideways and they were canceling the tech test, they'd have likely stayed quiet.

Making an announcement about sign-ups closing pretty much tells you we'll know more soon regarding this test.

Maybe. Again, can't assume signing up = acceptance into beta/knowledge of beta.

There will be no death. Only suffering. 

Would expect to hear very, very soon and for the test to be late Feb as it is already coming up to very late for the beta to have any kind of effect on the finished game. You're getting to the stage that any issues that are brought up would probably be too time consuming to fix and thus the only thing that this beta would achieve is more of a stress test and balancing test.

If there's anything inherently broken with it then i'd be doubtful they'd be able to turn that around prior to launch. Of course it looks like they haven't reinvented the wheel with the MP so it should be fine, but it is a new engine...

Isn't that half the point? I'm excited to play Andromeda, and if I can play the multiplayer a couple of weeks early, even just for a little while, it will be even better.
