As a wife, I think I'd go with a vacuum cleaner. Seriously. My husband gave me one for our first Valentine's Day together after we were married. While I did need one the timing...wasn't good. He's made it up to me and then some since (video games, Black Sabbath concert, ect.) But yeah, don't give your wife of under a year a vacuum cleaner for Valentine's Day unless she specifically asks for it for Valentine's Day.

I can't stand plush toys. Accompany it with a cheap mug that has two cuddly teddy bears and mushy text and you'll never hear from me again.   |

I wouldn't say it's the worst but if I got flowers I would look at the person like "Have you met me?". Then again I'm also a guy so we typically don't get flowers. On the other hand if those flowers were made out of beef jerky...  And I raise you  Bacon roses with jack. That's easily the best Valentine's gift I've ever seen. |

I hate flowers as a gift and anything extravegant and impractical...except for cute little stuffies, I LOVE stuffies...and chocolate.There is also a long list of crude, rude and inconsiderate gifts that are also terrible, but then that person wouldn't be my significant other anyways. I find I would rather have nothing than have someone not put any thought in a gift and a token gift is unacceptable.
I find the best Valentine's days are the ones when you ignore all the commercialism and just spend the day together snuggling on the couch and watching a movie or playing a video game. Ordering out for Chinese or making and quick dinner together is also nice.I'm really not a fan of crowds, so I prefer to stay in, but if we HAD to go out, a dinner and a movie is ok too.

Someone pissed you off? That's a rather childish and pathetic route to go. I wouldn't want to do better, even if what you're doing is trying to do is give the worst gift ever. If you're looking to end a relationship, that's the way to do it. Plus it would blacklist you from from any future relationships with any reasonable person...about the only person that would work on is someone who hates Valentine's Day so much that the two of you have a kind of pact going to give the worst gift ever. If that's the case, your gift idea would work really well. |
