The new friendly aim assist for Ana sure has helped improve my healing on the smaller targets, but it's mostly my very dedicated training despite the current meta that has wielded results. With a quick-rank of around 75% on Overbuff (I think I was below 40% when I started LOL) and results like these I think I can finally call myself a decent Ana player!   The map was attack on Route 66. Now I just need to improve my offensive game to be able to call myself a good Ana player!  |

I can't even begin to explain just how disappointing I am with the latest dev update. I keep thinking "NOW surely they must realize how boring they've made Mercy and how ridiculous rez as an ability is!", but nope, they are going to run her to the ground - not in terms of viability (because rez on E will always have value) but in terms of her mains leaving and refusing to play her. I've already basically moved on to Ana, Moira and D.VA. Why should I play a character whose skill floor and skill ceiling are the same and where there really isn't anything to master anymore - I'm pretty sure a bot could do just as well as I can with her. Then again, that is what I feel like when I play her now...

I just did my placements, and oh boy what a terrible shock I got - high gold. Haven't been this low since I started playing in 2016. For sure, I lost a lot of games (haven't played Mercy that much these past few months, had teammates who decided to pick Doomfist against tank-heavy teams, people who insisted to play Widow even though they got steamrolled both times...). I had to flex a lot mid-game too between healer, tank and dps, which I guess didn't really benefit my stats either. I used to be low to mid Diamond, and now this is what I've become... I wonder if part of the reason is because I die more as Mercy and can't rez as many as I used to?
I'm Plat now (only had to win two games to fix that) but I'm still very depressed about my performance... :/

I'm kinda hovering between mid Plat and low Diamond at the moment partly because dive has fallen off and my old diving buddies, a Genji main and a D.Va main, have stopped playing and partly because playing an aggressive Reinhardt with incompetent healers, especially Ana, is fucking rough. Nothing like hitting a good pin on the enemy Reinhardt only for your team not to follow up with damage and heals. |
