Alright guys, a question: Why do so many of you seem to have such issues with asking for help when looking for something in stores? Several of my guy friends just plain refuse to ask, and it's just such a silly waste of time wandering around for hours looking for something when there's a help desk right there. "We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land or air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be."
And that is the reason why men cannot simply ask for help.

Of all the possible themes one could attach to a wedding, which would most appeal to you? I haven't really considered this ever, and I've acknowledged it probably won't be my call. Though if it is going to rain, I want a enormous thunderstorm

Stubborn bastard that he is he refused, and we spent 30 minutes looking (a couple of times actually passing the very shelf where it was) until he finally found it and he pronounced me to be "a true ass", especially because I pointed out the many times he missed the obvious signs. When I re-tell this to my female friends they love it and thinks it was justified while my male friends insist I was mean for no good reason. So, why is this? Because figuring things out for yourself works best. TM

A theme I'm uncertain of, that I would need to think about and would depend on the lady I was marrying. As to where if I had the money I've love to get married back in England

Before I've even tried looking myself. Because I detest shopping (even for stuff I really want), and want to be out of the shop in question as soon as possible. The only reason I wouldn't is if I knew exactly where what I wanted was i.e. I'd been in that store before for the item I was after.

I always ask, especially if I'm new in the store and am in a rush. Though, last week, I went to a small store. And before asking, I did take a look around. Entirely because I wanted to see what was in stock first. Once I had a look around though, I did ask where a couple of items were (turns out I walked right past them).

I have to admit, as a woman over 30 it's rare for me to be called "jailbait", although I do have a baby-face that's occasionally resulted in teenagers trying to flirt me up... Must be difficult, a bunny getting all that attention from youngsters.

I'm not like them, I always exactly know what I'm looking for when I enter the store and I immediately ask because the shopkeepers know their stores much better than I do. The inevitable result of this practice is saving a not insignificant amount of time and nerves. Asking right away is the logical thing to do.

When I re-tell this to my female friends they love it and thinks it was justified while my male friends insist I was mean for no good reason. So, why is this? I used to work for a contract inventory company and I merchandised (glorified shelf stocker but a bit more to it, visual presentation/how you set the shelves up/etc); most stores I can read a sign and get myself to where I need to be. Some bigger stores like say Home Hardware I'll just straight up ask. In a bit of a twist I'll point out that asking a cute girl where something is is a great way to introduce yourself and gauge some reaction. Might walk away with whatever you wanted and a number besides...

What would be your first choice for a coordinated couple's Halloween costume? Since I have no idea how I'd answer this due to it relying on stuff that I can't really decide on, I'm gonna skip this. Alright guys, a question: Why do so many of you seem to have such issues with asking for help when looking for something in stores? Several of my guy friends just plain refuse to ask, and it's just such a silly waste of time wandering around for hours looking for something when there's a help desk right there. I don't go straight to the help desk to ask for help if I think I can find it on my own, but I don't have the stubbornness to outright refuse to ask for help if I can't find what I'm looking for (since I've moved around a lot, I've had to figure out store layouts on my own more than a few times). I'm a bit averse to going up to someone and asking for help finding something not because I don't want to ask for help, but because I don't like initiating conversations with people I don't already know. Maybe that's an anxiety-related thing?

My take is that if we had more instructional videos on how to get through life, maybe we wouldn't blunder so much. Anyway, I think it's something like not being too timid or too aggressive. Be respectful. And don't spend all your money because you'll need to be able to pay for your next date.

You get to go on a date with any character from classic cinema. Who do you pick? I'm thinking stick to grounded fiction, real world, no sci-fi/fantasy/horror and modern era setting, by which I mean post 1920s.
I'll probably go with Simon Dermott from How to Steal a Million.
