To be honest EA have been releasing their games on Thursday rather than Friday in the UK for a good few months now so I don't see why two more days, is such a hard thing to deal with considering how long we have waited for it now.
As someone said I'd rather wait 2 more days than 2 more months for the game.

They don't even care if you buy it elswhere, lol. At least they used not to. 'Mexican DAI' owner from Russia here (because, no, I'll never buy a localization-locked copy).
And I remember that ME3 EC release, when all the Non-US Origin had glitched and did not show up the DLC. Had to make a short IP-trip to California to start downloading. So - yeah, nothing stops you from getting your preorders as soon as they hit the store.

The game was written for US folks. EU is only for additional income by less effort.

Could someone give me a good reason why Europe gets the game later than North America? Just buy the game on Origin for European price for your region. Then use VPN and connect to US server, start downloading ME:A, exit VPN, finish ME:A download. (unless you already pre-load ME:A sometime after Match 17st). March 21st start VPN, start Origin, launch ME:A, stay on VPN if you want or disconnect (shouldn't matter after you start the game). There ya go, you play on March 21st. EA shouldn't care when you start the game, as long as you purchased the game for the price which is applicable to your country (due to tax/legal resons ect.). I agree with everything you've said except that you should connect to Korea or Japan, not the US. You can get it late afternoon on the 20th (assuming you're in Europe) instead of early morning of the 21st. It's a 13hr difference if I remember correctly

2 days is nothing really, especially when for the most part of those 2 days people will be at work. The game was written for US folks. EU is only for additional income by less effort. Ah there it is. Narrow minded, self absorbed ignorance.

Narrow minded, self absorbed ignorance. as a european living in a central european country, i gotta agree with this. yeah i get some people totally hot for MEA, but those more or less ~48 hours won't make a difference, besides that, some bigger markets will put them on the shelves earlier anyways, at least that's sometimes the case in Germany.

Wait, i thought everybody was gonna play on 21st! I'm in Europe and it says the game will release on March 21, 2017 7:00 AM MSK. Or Origin is screwing with me and the game will release on 23rd for me too ?

I'm not all that bothered by the delay, it's something I've gotten used to. What I'm more confused/mad about is why retail is cheaper than digital (talking Standard Edition here) when common sense dictates manufacturing a physical copy (whether there is an actual disc or not, you still get the box and all the labour that goes into it) should be more pricey than digital download... Neither am I as I'm going to go dark and stay away from places like this as from the start of the early access anyway until I get my hands on the game and do that first playthrough. I'm looking forward to it but I know what to do to avoid unneccessary spoilers. Yeah. I debated internally getting Origin Access because of MEA, but in the end decided it's not really worth it. 10 days for 10 hours of gameplay in advance and some MP does't really seal the deal for me, especially since I know things at work will be hectic at that point and I wouldn't be able to play much anyway (and let's face it, 10 hours will be spent in CC alone). So yeah, I'll be in my blanket fort come March 16, staying away from spoilers. We'll probably get a couple of patches by 23rd anyway, so we're the lucky ones

Because politics. They don't want to step on the toes of retailers by offering cheaper prices. While digital is on the rise, retailers still carry a lot of weight. Eventually, that will change. Well, at least I'll have a steel case to put my game code in

So in total, you won't be paying more than standard retail and if you time it correctly, you can play the 18th, 19th, and then VPN unlock on the 20th; move the dates up by one if you're not in the western hemisphere.

Which Asian VPN server you suggest to unlock ME:A on 20th March? South Korea? Or is there a better region?
