I'm not sure if this thread belongs here... But. I was wondering if anyone is having this problem with ME2. Pixel!Shep. It's on the floors, it's on characters, it's in cutscenes... Some other stuff that's probably important: No mods, no nothing. I'm only about 99% sure this started happening after I did an update with GeForce today that was actually due back in January ^^;;;;; Any ideas?

I'm not a PC type, but I'm surprised no one has cut in here yet to try to help you out. A couple of thoughts... Is there a way you can step back and undo the GeForce update to see if (i.e. confirm) that it's causing the problem? Can you speak with someone in Tech Support at GeForce to see if they have received any complaints about issues from other gamers since that January update and whether or not they've come up with a workaround for it? As I said, just some random thoughts from someone who admittedly has no idea. Hopefully someone with more PC savvy than I will notice your plight and be able to help you out (i.e. I'm sort of just giving your thread a little bump to get it noticed.)

I'm afraid I've never seen this before and I'm not a very tech savy person. It seems there is a similar looking issue for the first Mass Effect except it's more blocky in appearance than splotchy. At the moment, I unfortunately cannot find any similar issue reported for Mass Effect 2.
Does the splotches occur only with this specific set of casual clothes or is it on Shepard's character model in general?

@upupawayredux God
Still, I appreciate your help.
I was certain that GeForce had something to do with it, but now I'm not so sure... I've decided I'm going to completely erase ME2 from my computer, reinstall, start a new game and see what happens. Maybe my saves files are corrupted.
Edit: I'm just gonna completely restart the trilogy! Let's see how fast I can complete it before March 21st.
@schechinah It's okay! And I know what you're referring to. Lol I ended up with a lot of search results relating to that problem in ME when I was trying to find answers for this ^^ The splotches appear on both armor and casual clothing, and I've even seen it on NPCs.

I would guess textures were corrupted as opposed to actual saves.
Alternatively, if you are running some sort of nvidia texture processing, maybe that could cause it.
Not running any mods right? Modded any of the ini's to change things like filtering, shadows, anisotropic filtering, etc?

There have been other games where that type of thing has occured, and IIRC it has to do with OpenGL subroutines. Not sure if that's the problem, but if it is then Bioware may need to fix it on their end (with a patch). Maybe check their site to see if one exists?

I have the same CPU and graphics card and same amount of RAM. Ironically that laptop is in for repairs as we speak. Something in it crashed like serious when I was installing a texture mod, so I figured it was a hardware error. But I've had it for one year and I did a full run of the trilogy with zero graphic errors last year, so it's not that.
You should ensure you've run the config program and set all settings to their max and then make sure the game and its config has administrator rights.
If that doesn't work, try uninstalling your NVIDIA drivers, then reinstall them by locating the drivers that came with your pc on a CD you got or on the Lenovo (or whichever brand) support website. Install those and if you can, deselect the 3D Vision support (it slows framerates sometimes)
If that doesn't work it's the game files that are corrupted somewhere and you should do a clean install of ME2
EDIT, oh you fixed it. Well, come to think of it I think I know what it is. ME1 has an option in config to "delete local shader cache". ME2 has that option hidden but I think it's still in the engine. That might've been the problem.
