That article is the problem. It is not a "black hairstyle" it's just a hairstyle. And it originated with black people Using it but it doesn't belong to anyone. There's no need so separate or hurt people any further over something like your hair. People are literally doing no damage by getting a different hairstyle so nobody should act like it's theirs or claim it. She thought she looked good in dreads so she put dreads on, out doesn't mean anything.

Having a lady with short hair isn't stealing culture. Culture isn't tied to hair save few religious practices. Butch girls tend to like the hairstyle, but it doesn't mean they own it.
A straight girl can wear it and the only affect it will have is maybe a gay girl thinks she's hot but can't date her; but it's something that may happen to straight guys who like gay girls too!

I'm not sure this happens if you romance her. Gils dialogue clearly indicates that he is homosexual (even outside the rejection scene for f!Ryder) and there's a guy on the Nexus who seems very interested in him. For Suvi, however, the rejection dialogue does not outright state that she is only interested in women and I have yet to hear any dialogue that indicates this. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but if this was done in order to not hurt any straight guys' feelings... well I consider it completely unnecessary (and cowardly) and this reasoning would be very poor.

I think Suvi and Kallo were chosen for that scene, because very early dialogue already states that they are best friends, while none of the other squadmates get along so well right from the start.

Also a very obvious reminder Suvi turns down m ryder fast but not f ryder and can only be romanced by f ryder. She's a lesbian and doesn't have to outright state it.

Cora doesnt show signs of beign attracted to woman. All she does during her loyalty mission is showing her admiration for the Asari.
