1) It is my understanding that only the primary weapons count towards the Weapons Master title. If secondary weapons also count, then you, all the current holders, and possibly several other people who frequent this thread, may have indeed reached this achievement. @fmulder , or another veteran, should then correct me. It never should be about the order in which the player (or I - when I was going through submissions checking weapons) has listed weapons in their submission. If anything it should've been made so that only submissions that have only 1 weapon equipped count towards it but since that wasn't a thing and there really isn't a way to know if the player used that weapon much unless it's a video, you should count it all. Or just demote everyone from that title and make it 1 weapon submissions only. Thanks for the input. What you say is true, it's not the happiest nor the most transparent system. But if I allow secondary weapons now, it will be unfair to yourself and TTT, who recently put a tangible effort into completing this achievement. And I'm pretty sure both AW and TNS (and likely Doctor too) have also deserved the title, it just doesn't show in the records due to accounting errors, not because of "real" omissions. I'm not taking any action until I've looked into this closer. |

Amazing job Smehur,but which weapon i've missed.I thought,that i soloed with every weapon. I went to check this out and found out some Interesting Things. According to my records, out of the four current holders of the Weapons Master title, only ex-Clusum and TTT have actually met the requirements for it. TNS misses 4, AW misses 12, and you miss 14 weapons. Now, there are several possible sources of error in those counts: 1) It is my understanding that only the primary weapons count towards the Weapons Master title. If secondary weapons also count, then you, all the current holders, and possibly several other people who frequent this thread, may have indeed reached this achievement. @fmulder, or another veteran, should then correct me. 2) If indeed only primary weapons count, then badly assigned primary/secondary weapons would explain pretty much everything. For example, at first glance AW seems to miss a game with the Collector Rifle, but I found a (probably themed) game where it was listed as secondary weapon, with the CSMG listed as the primary. 3) My records may be incomplete. Some submissions may have not been archived at all, others might be present on the site but not in my spreadsheets, and yet others may have been lost during the transition from old BSN. For example, I don't have any recorded games in which you used the Collector Sniper as either the primary or secondary weapon. I'll look into this further and see if I can correct any bad records or recover any that are missing. I might ask you to go through your own records later and (re)submit some runs, but there's no need to do anything right now. Wow 14 weapons?I am pretty sure that i've soloed with the most of the weapons.Perhaps i've missed 4-5,but 14,i can't agree here.I can uderstand your point and sice it's a very voluminious work i will wait the second count. |

I checked and according to PHoF i haven't soloed with an avenger.Seems that you,ve missed the craziest solo i've ever done-Bonus Armax Arena Special: Blasteroid(volos sentinel+avenger vs the trollectors on condor)I used avenger as primary weapon as you can see from the screenshot,but PHoF says that i haven't soloed with it.And it's only one example. EDIT:Since i am retard i searched it under "A",but it's M-8 Avenger,so my bad and take my apologies.  |

The HoF was always based on a fair amount of trust and even more trust is required nowadays, with so many records that no longer have valid links. If someone says they used a weapon as primary I'll take their word for it, unless it's someone brand new or someone with a history of mischief (tho I'm unaware of any such cases myself). The fact that both AW and TNS (and The Doctor too) played a huge part (if not most) of their plat games in response to themed challenges makes this easier and more complicated at the same time. Some challenges list a weapon as first, and you'd put it as primary in your submission, even though the secondary is better and it's what you actually used in the game. I'm pretty sure almost all of the "missing" weapons will be "found" this way, and I'll be happy to let everyone know in all the painful detail what I discover when I look into this. There aren't that many, maybe 20-30 runs that need a bit of scrutiny, but I'll probably leave it for next year.  |
