First of all, congrats to The_Doctor on the new record for the fastest plat solo! What a great way to start a new year. 

And now, here's the   report on weapons mastery inquiry 

I decided that the Weapons Master title will be awarded to players who have proven to have used every weapon of the multiplayer as the primary weapon in a platinum solo.

If only one weapon is carried, that's a no-brainer, right. If two weapons are carried, I'll take that whichever weapon is listed first in the submission is primary without any special effort to check, because that's how the PHOF has worked all these years and I certainly don't intend to check all the 3000+ runs that are in it already to make super-sure. 

If there's ever need to check a particular run because unusual circumstances (such as those that arose here), obviously a video is the best proof that a weapon was indeed used as primary. But this can also be seen from screenshots fairly easily. For example, say that someone takes Claymore and Acolyte; if they get a medal for shotgun kills, it's unlikely that they used Acolyte as primary weapon. It's far from a flawless system, but I believe it's sufficient to resolve the current issues with Weapons Mastery.

We have four current holders of the title: ex-Clusum, TheNightSlasher, AW_FC_1986 and TheTechnoTurian; and one pretender: The_Doctor46N7.   This is what I found after carefully looking into the records of their runs:

ex-Clusum - OK (has an entry with every weapon as the primary weapon)

TheNightSlasher - missed entries for 5 weapons at first glance. I was able to find records of his plat solos with 4 of these 5 in themed challenges archives, so now he misses only 1 (N7 Eagle). However, he also has 30 recorded plat solos with 'unknown' weapon (back in the day the weapons weren't a necessary part of a submission), and the Eagle run could very well be among them. Unless there are strong objections, I'm inclined to pronounce that TNS is also OK in terms of Weapons Mastery.

AW_FC_1986 - missed entries for 12 weapons at first glance. I was able to fix one record that mixed up the primary and secondary weapons (for the Ariake run, where he used Shuriken but the PHOF listed Scimitar as primary). So he now misses 11 entries, for following weapons:

• Collector Rifle
• Geth Plasma SMG
• M-15 Vindicator
• M-22 Eviscerator
• M-25 Hornet
• M-27 Scimitar
• M-29 Incisor
• M-55 Argus
• M-8 Avenger
• M-9 Tempest
• Scorpion

Since AW doesn't have any recorded runs with 'unknown' weapons, I can't resort to the same save as above and must conclude that he doesn't satisfy the requirements for the title of Weapons Master.

TheTechnoTurian - OK (has an entry with every weapon as the primary weapon)

The_Doctor46N7 - missed entries for 14 weapons at first glance. I was able to fix 2 records that mixed up primary and secondary weapons (for 183 Pull-ups, where he used Katana but the PHOF listed Revenant as primary; and for The Intangible is Unstoppable, where he used Carnifex but the PHOF listed Phaeston as primary). So now he misses 12 entries, for following weapons:

• ADAS Anti-Synthetic Rifle
• Collector Sniper Rifle
• Geth Spitfire
• Krysae Sniper Rifle
• M-13 Raptor
• M-15 Vindicator
• M-25 Hornet
• M-27 Scimitar
• M-29 Incisor
• M-55 Argus
• M-9 Tempest
• Scorpion

The conclusions of this post will enter the next PHOF update; until then, you're all welcome to complain discuss.

First,great job Smehur and second i have a plat solo with vindicator HERE(week 7)  you can find it.I will search for other weapons.If you've missed something i will report.

Yeah, I can query the spreadsheets for such info. Most work went into comparing PHOF and TCHOF entries and staring at screenshots.

Great care was taken (both before my time and now) to keep the names of frequent soloists up to date in the spreadsheet, so no, no runs were missed on account of different names.

Thank you!The old record was 16:12 min and i agree that at this point everything is all about luck with the spawns and with the location of the pizzas or the lenghts of the escorts.All you need is grinding,but sometimes is very dsiapointing and booring.

Looks like I have to do Blasteroid with the Avenger.
Or maybe not and do something else

Went the maximum cheese route to sub20, and I finally arrived.

There's video as well, but I probably won't upload it unless requested because it's crappy gameplay with horrible nuking and a boring kit+weapon combo.

Now I can retire happy

rockets are too difficult, I did a solo where I accidentally used all of them by w2 prior to this so decided maybe they are a responsibility I am not ready to handle

That was... totally and utterly awesome. It's funny how, despite doc's speedrun being almost twice as fast as yours, it didn't really felt like much difference. Might have something to do with my skewed time perception lately.

Of course, Valkyrie shaking her booty for half an hour didn't hurt neither

I have a first 720p vid for this, but it takes forever to upload home so that it broke at 55%. I ll retry at work just to see how that goes.

Had a few runs on White unknown, settled on arc pistol (AR sucked or were to heavy), and had to be conservative to pull it off. Obj were Device Escort Pizza, Target W10 wld have kill me.
