Thanks fellas, I'll definitely give this a try. I think I need to get used to the Venom personally. I'm not used to charge shotguns that aren't the Geth Plasma Shotgun. Thanks for the Venom build guide as well.
I'll try the Venom on gold first. But I don't like to camp with the Fury on Gold because its not needed. I liked to intelligently rush with her since I can handle most things with her. But I might have to change tactics and camp on Platinum however. On a side note, I tried the Fury with the Arc Pistol only and flame rounds, and oh my friggin' god is it fun. I have 200% cool down with the gun and can set up fire explosions too. I don't know why I never thought to use this gun for her since I do use it with the Slayer. Thanks for that recommendation.
My only real issue that I have is Phantoms on host. The Arc pistol even fully charged doesn't seem to remove their barriers in one hit. My team died so I had to solo a few round on gold with the Fury and the Arc Pistol. I had a bit a bit more trouble killing Phantoms quickly. They are a breeze with the Acolyte. It didn't help it was my first time using the loadout. I was thinking of maybe adding the heavy pistol barrel, but I'd prefer to keep cool down to 200%.

It didn't help it was my first time using the loadout. I was thinking of maybe adding the heavy pistol barrel, but I'd prefer to keep cool down to 200%. Conventional wisdom says you're much better off with 40% weapon damage increase than you're with measly <0.5 second decrease in cooldown for DC/AF and a little more than 0.2 sec in Throw. The latter won't decrease your overall efficiency much, if at all, since most of your damage will be coming from biotic booms anyway and you can still do those reliably with said increases in cooldown times, while the former means a big increase to your killing power, especially as far as anything other than cannon fodder mooks are concerned. Granted, I don't know the specifics of your build, but I'm willing to bet my numbers aren't far off. But if you're really concerned about it, Arc can always be weight glitched. Save |

After a few more failed attempts and some objective wave rage quitting I finally got my 1st plat solo done  Alliance Infiltrator Unit larsdt | 18 October 2017 | 89:21 | Giant | Collectors | Crusader/Scorpion Surprised myself by having quite a few consumables left but I also had some easy objectives; Escort - escort - hack opposite the LZ which I was able to glitch. No nukes were needed to complete any of them. Switched from GS to AC5 this time and brought the Scorpion along for all those abombs and w9 phantrolls.  Goodbye Mr. Prime - I'm outta hereThanks BSNers for the ton of stuff you have taught me about the concepts of this game. Without you I don't think I would have succeeded. More likely I would still be playing silver, meleeing Atlases with the Jugg  . |

C'mon we have unfinished duos. lol yeah, i had my (final) new rig few weeks back and i am both: not motivated enough to launch a day long install motivated enough not to play anymore in order to have time for more important stuff (like books and movies) Nonetheless, it sucks and i want to play, i m suffering a lot from withdrawal, life is too complicated, aaaaaaaaaaaah |

So... I gotta thank you guys. The Venom shotgun is more awesome than I ever knew. I tried it with the Salarian infiltrator first. It was pretty fun. Then I tried it with the Batarian/Krogan soldier. They totally wreck faces with it. Phantoms are a joke with this gun. I then tried it with the Fury... and as if I didn't love her enough. I think I love her even more. She becomes so much more fun with this gun.
What I love in particular is that I don't need to carry the Acolyte with several characters just to deal with Phantoms. Thanks a lot to everyone who recommended that gun.

Don't know if/how this counts among you Platinum vets in the High Lord discussion, but the scrub managed a Claymoar solo. Same recipe as my 1st one and I still needed the mini-venom for the phantoms. Guys, I don't know how to say it, but it is shocking: we are five and a half years in and the enemy still seems to get stronger in numbers. I'm not sure whether we are able to win this. Maybe we have to look for another way out, but I don't see a conventional victory here. I mean, I was on Tuchanka today. Didn't see one Krogan anywhere near the point of interest. Instead Cerberus seems to be working together with Reaper forces and Geth. Geth. And Reapers. And Cerberus. Only good thing: that group didn't stand a chance. Nevertheless: be strong! Stand together! Hold the line! Wasn't able to even glitch one of the two hacks. To my defense: the second was the one in the open field I always have problems to get the timing right. Have a vid, but I think I will redo and upload another one with better gameplay/better time in the coming weeks. This one was just to come back! BTW: why didn't anyone tell me that an adrenaline mod is the way to go when I don't have a proper cyclonic mod or power amp?  |
