i've post this before, and some people kindly answered, however I was in a rage storm about this and let the post lose... now that i've formatted my pc and reinstalled origin and DA:I im having the same problem and the rage stom began again, so here it is:
since " the trasspaser" dlc, I havent been able to play the game anymore, i quit the game some time before that dlc cause of reasons (dont remember) and when it came out, I decided to buy it and replay the game. Needless to say i wasnt able to do it. Maybe it was a new update, something in my pc magically stopped working or i dont know. Maybe somebody has the same problem.
I leave my pc specs (miraculously my pc can run this game at low) and what ive alredy done to unsuccessfully fix this:
specs:
notebook samsung NP27 intel core i3-3120M / 2.50 GHz windows 8 / 64 bits intel graphics 4000 / nvidia geforce 710 6 gb RAM a lot of spirit
what ive done: reinstall everything (literally) cry disable origin in game repair the game cry a lot some other things i cant remember but if you point them i will
thanks in advance

If your pc already had issues with the main game , Trespasser was a bit more demanding. Do you have Descent?
Otherwise put everything on super low and the less demanding resolution and pray?
Edit : Did you mod the game? and played on a modded file ?

I havent modded it, just vanilla. the game was playable until after jaws of hakkon

Looks like the specs for a laptop, and not a gaming laptop at that. That already puts you in no-joy territory. > intel graphics 4000 / nvidia geforce 710 What is that? I know what the Intel 4000 is, but what is a GeForce 710? Unless you mean GeForce 710M? According to this and this, it's not good enough. Minimum requirement for DAI is a GeForce 8800T or Radeon HD 4870 or equivalent. You can see in this ranking that a GeForce 440 is above your 710M (GPU score of 850 vs 730 respectively), and a 440 is at or below the minimum specs. Same for the Radeon HD 6570, above your 710M, but below the HD 4870.

AVG caused problems with my game too - and I have a computer, that can play DAI easily on ultra settings. After I switched AVg for another antivirus software, it worked fine.
But it could be, that Papa Charlie is right here: Trespasser caused a bit of a downfall in performance (longer loading screens for example or textures taking longer to load - nothing dramatic, but noticeable) with me too. So while your computer might have been able to handle the main game, Trespasser might be a bit too much. I'm not a computer expert, but that would be my guesses.

intel graphics 4000 / nvidia geforce 710 That could very well be your problem. As PapaCharlie pointed out, it is below minimum specs. I played ME and DAO on a laptop with graphics below minimum specs. Everything we set to the lowest settings possible, but I was able to play them. At least for a time. After a few playthroughs neither game would load--they just suddenly stopped working. Both games would crash trying to load. Your graphics is on the low end as was mine. It's possible that you've just run the graphics to its limit. :/
