For the record, I was never a fan of shooters. Found them a bit boring. Yet, I fell in love with ME. It's my all-time favorite game.. I've spent a lot of time playing the trilogy and nothing else has fully attracted my attention. Sometimes I'll go over to DA:I for a bit but them I'm back to ME. I'm pretty much like you. I still don't like most of the mechanics - too console oriented - but the story, despite all its flaws, is so compelling that I'm obsessing over it at the moment.

And quick reflexes is just what I don't have. Don't feel bad; I still suck at solving the dispelling puzzles in KOA: reckoning. Try to rack up more omni-gel then. I'd consult the wiki to avoid mandatory decryption puzzles in certain missions. All I can say is practice, practice, practice if you're stuck in that bomb trap set by Elanos Haliat. Concentrate really passively on which light pops up and don't stop to think about it. Just react.

Play as an infiltrator sniper... one of the most satisfying ways to play... I love watching heads explode.

I'm not a fan of shooters either. I find them incredibly stressful with the enemy coming towards you and having to aim, lol. I actually tried and gave up on Mass Effect several times before I decided to just handle the stressful shooty parts, because I wanted to experience the story. Don't regret it one bit. I even enjoy the shooting now(my setting is set to casual, but still.

And now that I've gone through the 3 games I've restarted and went from casual to normal lvl. Naturally I die often - when too many things are happening at once it's as if my fingers get mixed up - I'll mash the E key thinking it's the W to advance - or hit the R to reload when it's the T and - bam - I'm dead And no I don't use a controller. ----- Oh and now that I'm a "veteran" - that entitles me to join the ranks of the spoiled & bitchy fans and start criticizing! First item on display: the god awful character editor. When compared to what we can do with DAI's CC (see my avatar) it's a nightmare to come up with a good looking male Shep.
