MASS EFFECT™: ANDROMEDA – Gameplay Series #1: Combat

Man, I was thinking Vanguard with sword, but now I think I'm going Phantom/Ninja. Tactical Cloak, Asari Sword. Some tech abilities for fun...

Flow of combat looked...ok I guess? I will need to get a feel for it but it looks like ME3's gunplay which was uninspired but functional.

I'm definitely not liking that weapon levels I, II, III... are back, it just looks like a really lazy method of loot scaling without providing true variety. I would much prefer to have a large variety of weapon mods and ways to trick out our guns,

Powers look really similar to ME3, kinda bummed that lots of the new interesting ones from multiplayer have been left out. Similarly I don't like it that weapon specialization levels are back, would muchrather have the freedom to experiment with different classes of weapons.

Noticed that alot of the class signature powers are missing so I'm assuming they are tied to classes, though tac cloak is now a normal power so I wonder what the infiltrator gets to compensate.

Architecture is utterly mundane you would think that a whole new galaxy would have a different aesthetic than just same old mass effect.

Also all those technicolour particle effects make my eyes bleed.

I figured that part out.

I'm just curious if both or one of them will be part of the crew on the tempest.

Halo Effect indeed, they brought the best part of Halo 5 to Mass Effect. I am quite pleased...

Ye, I noticed. It's a rank isn't it? N7 is the highest, C8 may be one of the first. I don't know, my lore is not that good for Alliance military ranks.
