All the latest bioware games have a toggle option to show / hide helmet, I don't see why it would be different for this game.

Then you have nothing to worry about since you want to see the face beneath the helmet.

I wouldn't say obviously. They've ignored that part of the lore before and still are now with some of our squadmates and what you have equipped.

well gebnerally in the trilogy if you were entering a hostile area you had a helmet on whether you had one equipped or not or at least it' s done that on my game. I wasn't talking about our qsuadmates though anyway I was referring to our character as in Ryder.

I just hope we can change the default helmet for hostile planets; it was the one thing that bothered me about ME2 and 3. I didn't use the helmets except for when I expected to be dropped into a setting where I expected the helmet would spawn.

Neither do I normally the only time I kind of definitely wear a helmet where it's not necessay is probably Haestrom the mission where you pick Tali up in ME2. Becvause I'd think if my shields aer compromised I'm going to need extra protection to compensate. I kind of headcannon that Shep's a bit paranoid having just recovered from being blown up by the collectors and dosen't want to leave themselves open to being compromised again. Especially given they're still out there and need to still be taken out.

Yeah I remeber that. That would be ideal, but I swore I saw some transparent ones in combat.

This would be the ideal option. A toggle for transparent, and one to hide entire helmet. I thought it was odd in the lasted combat trailer Cora and Liam had on helmets on will in hazard areas.

Cool but impractical.

Even if it could be done in Real Life, this would probably still be a bad idea. The multiple moving parts would certainly weaken the helmet and compromise its protective value in a fight or a crash. Not to mention you wouldn't want to accidentally hit the switch at the wrong time. Or that some stray hair get caught between two pieces.
