Whenever I link pictures (ie, insert image using a URL), it makes me have to open a new tab to view the image. Any suggestions? You see the bar above the reply window, with the little icons? Find the smiley emoji, and count 5 to the left. That opens the image tab. Put your link in there and the image should show in the post. You can click 'more reply options' to view your post before posting, to check it worked.

To add to this, jayorlex, the forum doesn't have any direct sharing, so you'll have to put the image somewhere else, and then link it. I mostly use imgbox.com/ or imgur.com/ for example.

In my opinion, a proper blocking should actually ghost the said members account entirely. The only things I should see of that member's activity would be in quoted posts.
Currently, in the mobile site at least, blocked members posts will still appear, with the username, and a button to display post.
This is adequate, it just isn't great and I would hope this software might offer something more blocky, as it is a feature on other forums.
Blocking isn't great, it isn't really community friendly. However, it can help maintain the peace when the user can tune how deeply they want to block someone. For me, since it is something I rarely would use, being able to tune someone out completely would be really nice in those rare circumstances.

Sadly it is customary that mods don't block anyone... @illusivechad Ƭ̵̬̊ yeah, unfortunately the way the blocking works is built-in-ProBoards, and I don't think there's anything we can do about it. This is especially true for the mobile site where scripts and mods just don't even work at all. I keep hearing there's a new version of ProBoards coming out (v6) that addresses so many things, and people are testing it, but there's no timeline for actual release. I have to admit I haven't even bothered to see what all is going to be different, since without a deadline I can even tentatively look forward to, knowing that X,Y, and Z will be fixed Soon TM would just be pure disappointment - hey, it's just like the gaming world!

I am polishing my "solution" to this. It is a drastic measure, lol. I am a slave to my cellphone. I work with technology, but I cannot bring my laptop everywhere all the time. This creates situations where my only way to interact with things I need, goes through the mobile web with all of its automatic redirects, added forced advertising, poorly formed websites, etc. I have had enough! The next phone, will be a basic phone with text messaging and a wifi-hotspot. Basically a modern flip phone. Wi-fi hotspot for the tablet I will have to add to "goes everywhere" kit. I have a chest pack for it, my old Shield K1 tablet died I will force desktop mode on the tablet browser, and many of my complaints about the internet will go away. The mobile web is absolute garbage  I get irrationally angry (this shocks every moderator) using my phone to browse sometimes, so I am hoping this will spark joy. |

My iPad is just big enough to use the desktop version of the site (with mild frustrations occasionally). I use it on my phones in moments of absolute need, only.
