At the end of 10 games you laugh at how refreshed your fingers feel after playing with the Harrier. At the end of 10 games with the Mattock you have a twisted claw.

yes, of course, the basics seem to be the same, there are new powers, and less cover but we already know how it's done

Any game you play can make you better at other games in certain ways. Depending on what game you play this can be a variety of things. It might just be better aiming or reflexes. Or better situational awareness and thus playing smarter overall, maybe moving around more strategically and less exposed. Or you got better at crowd control and your brain can prioritize faster what kind of enemies should be taken out in which order and why. Or you have gotten calmer and more relaxed overall, basically feeling like you are taking your time while also playing faster at the same time because of this. There are many things to consider and for me personally some games and experiences have really had an impact. Actually not only improving skills in other games but in real life as well which is amazing. A friend of mine and I were even considering a particular game to be part of an evaluation test when hiring people if we ever founded a certain company together in the future (and we still might be doing this) because playing through the increasing difficulty levels had taught us a lot of valuable lessons about ourselves in various aspects... it's amazing. So even if the gameplay will be different in some aspects some players might benefit from their long hours in ME3MP. However there are also those who have played hundreds or even thousands of hours and have not really learned that much over all that time. Which is a bit sad in my personal opinion. Not because I think everyone needs to be a super amazing player but because I think you can have fun and learn at the same time, sometimes even lessons/skills beyond the game itself or gaming in general like I mentioned before. Among other things, it improves your reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. 5 miles from my house there's a deep valley to drive through on a rural state route. One side is pretty gradual, but the opposite side is steep and winding. I was driving up the steep and winding side, going around 50 MPH, and coming around a very long medium left (maybe). To my right, 4 feet away, was a token 2 foot tall sheet metal fence, and on the other side of that, a drop straight down 1000 feet into the forested valley below. Then suddenly, around the bend comes a guy going way too fast, and veering halfway across the center line into my own lane, on a collision course. I didn't panic, I didn't sweat, I didn't even flinch. I just said "You dumb shit" and swerved around him, then continued on my way. so true. the other day i was over at a friend and she was going on and on about her office practice. i didn't panic, didn't get impatient, didn't flinch, i just said " i should go" .

True. And then you spend half the match humping ammo boxes or popping thermal clips like Tic-Tacs. Just slap it on a Drelldept with Adrenaline III. All the ammo and grenades are belong mine.

It comes down to how much impact the Promotion/Prestige bonuses will have. Oh yeah, that. I've been so concerned about the engine performance that I'd forgotten the other reason I'm not preordering. Thanks for reminding me.

If they didn't learn there lesson from DAMP, it will be a downward spiral quickly. I always had a chuckle when the promotion lords thumped their chest about how great they were at the game and how "amazing" their builds were due to insane damage.

Well the key thing is small amount, and in reality you got a huge bonus in that game for playing it alot, and putting up with the shit load of bugs. the benefits were too powerful no question about it.

Drasca was clearly an elite player who ... rage-quit after he kept getting killed on Threatening back before he became a promotion lord.

I'm just happy to see 'Yes' is beating out 'Steak' after one day .. that is a surprise.
I hope there aren't stat boosts for promoting in MEAMP, having a more developed manifest than most players was already a huge advantage.
PS. <<< Guess which poll option I voted for <<<

I'm not too worried. I haven't been playing ME3 MP much lately, but I've been doing some exercises to increase my flexibility and get ready for some brand new Andromeda Turians

I picked no but that's just for me. It's nearly 2 years since I played any ME3MP so these days I couldn't even play the old game to my previous standard never mind the new one.

PS. <<< Guess which poll option I voted for <<< Advantage over who? It's a team game... Anywho, let's be honest here people; ME3:MP wasn't all that complex and you could quite comfortably learn it's idiosyncracies in a short period of time. Beyond that it's just reflexes and hand-eye coordination which to an extent you gain from experience (from any shooter I might add), but only an extent.

I think you're being a little hard on yourself. IMO In the handful of matches we played together you showed some good skills
