That's the twist, Shepard and Co WERE the bad guys trying to stop the honorable Reapers from doing their glorious work. This fake news about indoctrination needs to stop instantly if not sooner!

I don't mind DLC like this, but I'm not sure I'd want Bioware to spend resources making one either.
I guess I would have to see how complete MEA feels when it comes out and whether I feel that the time spent on making DLC would work better to more fully realize and flesh out the new galaxy or if I feel that the galaxy is complete enough to warrant spending time making DLC that is more of a fun diversion.

Thinking about this, there's just so little I find appealing about it. It would basically go one of two ways: the baddie you control is basically doomed to failure because the bad guys are simply not going to be guaranteed to win or get away with anything in the main campaign, or it would be totally separate and adds nothing to the game because it's simply an alternate universe like The Darkspawn Chronicles. Either way, it would be linear in every single way because you can't have dialogue or story choices. It would just be combat and cutscenes with no variation. And this is putting aside that it would be effort taken away from expanded content for the actual PC and companions of the game.
On the flip side, the one way this could be made interesting would be if there actually was a choice of whether or not the character had some sort of arc allowing them to go a different way, which then affects their involvement as a minor character in the main campaign. I'm honestly not sure how that would work.
