The Reviewers 'hands-on' embargo drops on Friday. You are welcome to discuss those story spoilers here, just not in the General or Character sub-forums, please.

This thread is in the Spoilers Discussion section. Does it really need spoiler warnings? Probably not, but just making a point as we're putting links to this thread around the place. Spoiler tags within the thread are of course unnecessary.

There's too much stuff going on. A couple of things I liked reading : You have lots of stupid haircut , yes you can have a pink mullet if you feel like it.
The Ryders have a personality system like Hawke. It seems there's a system tracking answers.
Ryders and companions talks a lot outside, sadly the audio can be cut (that's going to get annoying fast)
I've read part of the game is about exploring the new alien cultures and language etc...some collectable might give you clues and informations. It sounds like busywork but it's the type of things I enjoy so HOORAY!
The Not So Good Parts
Animations are crappy and distracting. This doesn't bother me too much but I bet sometimes it's going to be awkward
The planet the jornalists could visit with the not!Mako felt worse than the Hinterland. There were tons of busywork but it felt emptier somehow and bigger.(it seems companions talk in the Mako so YAY!)
Ennemies are like in DAI lots and lots of HP and at the start with your crappy gun, well pew pew pew.A thousand pew pew pew later , fight done.
Performances issues, lag when there's a lot of ennemies , loss of framerates and all of that...one month before release .I would warn people there's going to be issues on certain machine on release day, probably going to requires a couple of patches.
On the not!Normandy ...yes there's no loading screen BUT it takes some time to open doors, a couple of second each times.

It's good to remember that from the video reviews I've watched, they mention that Bioware told them they had fixed over 5,000 bugs after this demo was put together. A lot of the complaints I see in the articles were already fixed by bioware by the time they got this demo.

The one spoiler I cared about most from all these articles.
36. The Nomad didn’t have any turrets or projectile-based weaponry I could use, but it sure could run enemies over.
Beware the 4 wheeled beast of Babylon.

Not sure where to put this (relationships with companions details): From KotakuYour relationships with your team will be based on a new 'trust' system. Condominas warned that this new system makes it a lot harder to get all of the characters to like you at once, though apparently it's not impossible. Due to the relationships between the different characters, one of your squad mates might distrust you simply because you have the trust of a character they don't like. While I didn't really get to see this in action, it sounds tricky. And fun.

Edit: Main story spoiler : linkI didn't play enough Andromeda to know what I'll ultimately make of its new crew, or to get a feel for the quality of the sidequests, or even to scope out its new villain, the Kett's Archon. Part of me is disappointed he exists at all. As Frazier told me, the Archon is hunting you because you can interact with alien "remnant" technology spread across the galaxy, which is literally a sci-fi trope I remember saying, some months ago, that I hoped Mass Effect: Andromeda would avoid. But no such luck.

And don't get me wrong they are working for sure, and Bioware games aren't that buggy in general anyway. But framerates issues+ cut in audio during dialogue was something happening in DAI . I expect some performance issues , PC launch is probably going to be a tiny bit chaotic , some pc are going to handle the thing more or less fine and others won't. People who want a 100 % smooth experience should wait a couple of month before playing. Animations are somewhat crappy and are going to stay crappy and that's the end of the story.

Well this youtuber here link shows a screenshot confirming the animation bugs will be patched day 1 from Flynn. Take it as you will. I'm not worried. Me1-Me3 were bugs galore with weird body spins and white eyeballs in romance scenes and we all got over it.

It's inquisition in space. Period.
Doesn't mean it's not a better version of Inquisition or that there's also remedies inside the game but it's still Inquisition in space.
Specifically the pcworld preview talks about this and say exactly what mirrors my opinion. The planets are pretty barren but also big, and they're cluttered with really vaguely-contextualized stuff to do in them, and the reason it's worse than ME1's "barren, empty" worlds is because at least those weren't bloated.
It's Inquisition in Space because it packs a tightly story-driven experience with something completely to the contrary all in the same game. It's the same jack of all trades master of none game design as DA:I and BioWare either haven't learned or they just couldn't change the fundamental design of ME:A late enough, or maybe their EA servers gathered player statistics that show them it's more financially secure to make games this way "with lots of content".

They have stated that they don't consider the game to be open-world. If I recall that was a big thing in the marketing for Inquisition. It seems that there will be set goals and locations to visit on the planets rather than just wandering around and picking flowers.

They also corrected people from calling DA:I open world, what's your point? That has nothing to do with what was good or bad about DA:I. It was just that the game had a certain design about it that seems to have been repeated at large, just not the "power" system and obviously other stuff instead of the war table.
It will likely have more main story content too, and I'm curious to find out what a DA:I game would feel like when I'm not forced to do side-quests at every turn, but I still think when you're just exploring minute-to-minute I'll start to get that same feeling I had when playing DA:I, where i'm sort of not enjoying myself as opposed to having more condense open areas that have a much more finite and purposeful feel to them in ME1. Noveria, The Citadel and stuff had only so much content in them, easily missable stuff too, but the more obvious stuff was sparse but great and memorable and it gave a lot of replayability by putting a lot of detail into fewer things, like a good adventure game but one with more freedom than usual. DA:I had stuff everywhere and apparently ME:A has too. It's all "content, content, content" design but then strangely coupled with BioWare's more laser-focused companion interactions that are probably not notably longer than usual and a main story.
DA:I felt like 3 different games in one, and of different genres. It lacked focus. I'm afraid this does too because there's so much talk about how we have to do resource stuff while exploring, but then there's also linear missions for the critical path and then there's the Tempest adventure-game-esque feel where you talk to crew. Dunno. I just feel they aren't really sure of their formula or just not aware of how unfocused it can be at times.

Was it mentioned somewhere in the previews if we have proper cutscenes when talking to NPCs? I haven't seen anything.
